It was really breaking my heart to see this in the Forum.
I was shocked and in disbelief when I saw the comment from Turd. Then the worst thing was he tried to justify the comment and was unapologetic which made things worse.
I believe he was ignorant andsome of thepost enlighten him along with others.

These forums have a spell checker built RIGHT IN. How hard is it to click "check spelling" to make sure you dont sound like a babbling drunken monkey? I believe that is why people make fun of spelling on these forums-because apparently those who can't spell can't read either.

want to know whats weird? if you think there was racism involved?i know turdferguson523 in real life. hes mixed. half black. the reason he doesnt mention it is he hates when people play that game and feels too many people use it as a cop out. even funnier still about the law enforcement thing, hes in school to become a cop. but since I havent talked to him and I'm not going to waste time reading the rest of the garbage in this thread i have to bet he was totally kidding. I really don't understand what was even bottom borderline racist about saying that ebonics is not a recognized language. ive had discussions about it with him before and he is of the opinion that its degrading to even suggest it is. hes a very educated guy and i think this whole thing has gone toa rediculus level.

Ok, back to the topic at hand, I believe a new player had commented on discrepancies in his xp gain rate, and expressed concern about the time I would take to unlock Jedi.
As to the first question, difference in xp gain, as compared to friend: 1. Not all professions gain xp equally, are you both the same template? 2. Combat types of xp are based on damage dealt, it does not split evenly between a group. 3. There are modifiers in the game based on several items. 4. Unless it’s a generic mob the xp value can vary, ie a named mob of type may have somewhat more of less xp then another named of that type. Perhaps one of these factors are involved?
As to the second question, time to unlock Jedi: Jedi is considered the end game, or holy grail by many players. Although I’m not so sure those descriptions apply, it is the hardest thing to obtain in SWG, no question. After you unlock Jedi, it’s only up hill from there.
I am a Jedi, and setting aside the time I stopped playing SWG, it took me roughly a calendar year to unlock Jedi. Yes, I’m semi-casual, and did not power grind; no doubt others accomplished the unlock quicker, but this example makes my point. You can say the unlock process tests the player’s resolve, and devotion, much as the tests do you Avatar’s in game.
If you will accept it, here is some advice.
1. Learn the game, heck, master it, before you begin to think seriously about Jedi.
2. Play at least one melee, one ranged, one crafter, one healer, and the Bounty Hunter profession to the master level, so you will understand them before you face them in combat, which you will. I suggest TKA, Pistoleer, Combat Medic, and Bounty Hunter, as these are the nasties to face in any PvP.
3. Make friends, lots of them, friends are the best resource in this game.
4. Figure out how to support your grind, money is easy, but not when you’re talking millions of creds. Psst, combat missions are not a good choice, IMHO.
5. Lay in a stock of what you will need: weapons, armor, stat food, spices, power-ups, meds, vehicles, ect. You will burn through obscene amounts of supplies grinding.
6. Figure out what template best suits your play style, and can get you through the grind.
7. Enjoy the game, take frequent breaks from the grind.
8. Think about Jedi, begin to gather crystals, resources, clothing attachments, ect.
This is just my PoV, and others may tell you otherwise. I hope this helps you in some way.
