Another recommendation that worked for us:
Don't just loot one frequency pad and run back to the Captain. That sucks! Get a bunch of them, as many as possible, then turn them all into shield remotes at the Captain. From them, pick the base that's closest. We didn't make this great leap on our first success and had to freaking WALK all the way from sigma to the village, over 9 KILOMETERS. Oh my dear lord but it took forever and we got attacked constantly, plus we were a man short. Don't make our mistake. Hold out for a closer base shield remote; pirates and outlaws are sissies enough that even a modest team can tank them all day.
Beware the occassional thug though. 
Hopefully my waypoints help someone.

The Gamma base is incorrect. It is located at -990 -2827 about roughly 2000m from the Dathomir Science Outpost. You may want to correct this in your post.

I dont know when these were updated or if they have been since Saturday when I did quest, but all the wps I used were wrong. Omikron, delta, and theta were wrong.
