My one ticket so far resulted in a very polite, but very useless, "It's a known bug, we can't help you, the devs are working on it."

I think I found a work around for this issue.
All I did was delete the waypoint and went to tat....after hanging for a few minutes on tat I was visited again by the old dude...he gave me a wp on tatooine...I got a group together and kicked mellis arse

Unfortunately, that was the first thing I tried - all I get is the waypoint reappearing in my datapad every time I load (login, travel/go to space/cross areas of Kashyyyk). Spent about 12 hours idling after this first happened in hopes that he'd show up again, but no luck for me.

go to the planet u want to do the quest on...then destroy it from your datapad and wait
after a while grandpa will come and give you a new wp...it won't show up in your datapad so you will have to log out and in again.
