They're only stating the truth, it has nothing to dowith being mad at the CU.
Seriously, unless you can get 7.5million (roughly) FSXP banked before May 5, you're in for a long ride. Your enthusiasm will be gone when you get to the grind and blow 5mill on nades, only to find that on May 5 the fsxp rate is slowed to an extremely low rate.
I'm just a negative person, sorry.

I just ground out my last bit of xp. BTW, just want the poster of this topic to know. The minimum amount of time it will take you to unlock enough trees to be able to get to Jedi Initiate is like 5 months. Plus the time it takes you to grind all the xp for them. Good luck though. It was a long 7 month grind for me under this system. No clue what it's like for the CU. Hope to see you out at the village in Phase 4 when the REAL Sith attack occurs. GL man.

the minimum time is actually about 3 months (12 weeks and a few days to be moe precise), and the more usual time is still more like 4 months. it's still a long time though and most of it will be non-stop grinding if you want to do it that fast

" the minimum time is actually about 3 months (12 weeks and a few days to be moe precise)"
3 Weeks X 6 Phases = 18 Weeks = 4.5 Months.
That is the absolute minimum time it will take, plus usually about 2 days of downtime for each phase. Then the xp also needs to be ground. Which can be done while waiting for shifts, so it is possible to unlock at a minimum of of like 3.75 Months. You could have done it before the CU, but it doesn't sound like it will be so easy afterward. As I said though, GL to you!

ok, let me explain the 12 week thing.
you start your first phase on the last day before the phase changes. you then complete the next 4 phases as normal and also bank all of your FS xp needed for the 6 branches. then, when the phase changes for your 6th unlock, you do that in a day (depending on which quest it is), thus giving you:
4 x 3 weeks = 12 weeks + a few days for the 1st and last phase and server down time
therefore, 12 weeks minimum.

I unlocked my first phase 3 days before the end of the phase and thanks to C12s will have enough XP banked tofinish as soon as I unlock in the next phase 4. So Ishould finish in just less than 13 weeks. Even as a dual Master there is no way I could do this without C12s (800 - 1000 power).
Oh yeah...Congrats on getting glowy.

That's if you happen to unlock in the last day or so of a phase. If you unlock on the first day, add 3 weeks lol.

I remember finally reaching that glowing state.
It excited me to no end.
Then I discovered the new system for working up to that Jedi Character. Now, I want to shoot myself.
The grind is absolutely disgusting for a casual player like myself. I do not see myself obtaining a Jedi character and extra slot anytime in the next year or so. Perhaps it would be different if they allowed Shipwright Crafting be exchanged for Force XP, but they don't and they likely won't.
So, I am stuck with keeping Master Artisan to grind out Swoops and Speeders, which will take a very long time to complete. Then, I can consider dropping Master Artisan to work up my combat skills, in order to fill a profession that wil help me survive ground combat long enough to start piling up XP for conversion again.
All I can say, "Endlessly frustrating. Endlessly frustrating."
I still wish that my initial idea, that taking certain random NPC missions would have had something to do with helping someone become Force Sensitive, was accurate.
