Rebel faction (from the Cries of Alderaan victory) costs quite a bit less so if you have 4000 smuggler and rebel colonel (I think) you'll get a better deal. Also you could grind out xp by killing imperials and get some bonus fp to trade with. While it's possible, I don't see this happening. I highly doubt someone having 500 million credits much less 3 billion..

People have it... im sure... not saying anyone is willing to spend it... but if I had that kind of money I would... ONLY for the fact that I could. And with the new "no artificial faction cap" for smugglers this is even easier to do.

its not like that is even a hard grind... I mean smuggler is a cake profession to get.

That's what I was thinking. Unless you're a hardcore crafter with hundreds and hundreds of millions already in the bank, I cannot imagine why anyone would even want to TRY doing it this way. I mean, crap, you can do the grenade method in just a couple of weeks, how long would it take you to earn 2 and a half billion credits?

Wouldn't matter if there was a cap of 100 mill, you don't need all the cash at the same time, since you can't get all the combat XP at the same time.

I may be wrong but I don't think buying faction points work the way you think they work. They removed the FALSE cap for buying points (500 or 900, something like that). There is still a cap based upon your rank so it's going to take quit a long time to buy MILLIONS of faction points.

yeah.... buy up to your cap... then convert to combat then repeat.. when your combat is capped then turn it in for FS and repeat.... believe me I am not doing this... I have 2 MILLION ... not 2 BILLION

I was actually calculating this out the other day as well. I figured that if I could find imperials that I could grind on then I couldturn my faction in for combat exp and do it. Buying the faction is oh so much better than my idea though. Too bad I don't have 3 billion credits to burn... lol

why spend 3 billion on jedi? just offer 3 billion for a legendary PH with 6k max damage and a 4k mind fire dot with -1 uses....then you could take down several knights (not to mention def stackers) in one area attack
