Ok, on Test Center while the new Jedi system was being tested, the crystals DID change colors.

Everyone assumed it would be the same case when things were in Live.

Instead, the color has remained the same through each Phase.

My guess is that the TC testers' voices regarding the fact that, given1 color handed out in each Phase 3, and the number of possible colors, it would take over 4 years to collect them all, and the Phase 3 Melee Accuracy quest is hard enough as it is without doing it every 3 weeks for 4 years. 4 YEARS!

So, I think the Devs kept the first available color (Sunrider's Destiny, the teal color) as the constant available crystal in Phase 3 Melee Accuracy, and the rest of the crystals will someday be made available in some manner- a crystal cave, some Jedi quests, who knows what.

Personally I think a better choice would've been to make the crystal handed out totally random. A whole market surrounding them would have surfaced, and all the various colors would get in-game. Oh well, instead we get flooded with teal crystals.
