A lot of people complain, but few for good reasons. The general consensus is that jedi should be hard to get, which I happen to agree with. But you must have a thing for punishment if you think this is the right way. I expected something more challenging (in an intelectually sort of way), in which, you know, you can actually have fun, a quest by definition, where you have to actually use your brain to put the pieces together in the greater puzzle, a quest where you actually have to think what would be the next move. In the current system you know exactly what you have to do, which is count the hours go by and the xp stacking up. Not fun.
if that is your concern...i really suggest you go and play WoW.... no really... b/c there is NOT going to be any changes as you mentioned anytime in the near future... serious...
Lay the hell off and let peeps have their own opinion dude, stop PMSing gawd, yer worse then the ones you say complain!
oh btw, i play both WoW and SWG simultaneously.... i love both... and my suggestion was a serious one.... so lay the fck off brotha. WoW is by far the most advance quest-based-to-advance MMO to date. live with it.

I'm glad you like WoW... I played it and didn't like it. I guess I didn't like it because of the characters. They are all buff and huge. I wish we could make our characters how we can in SWG or EQ2. The graphics I also wasn't too impressed with to be honest. Don't have too many classes in the game, this is where EQ2 is better. WoW is decent but I still find SWG better and that is why i'm on the SWG forums and not the WoW forums. Good luck with WoW.
im on shatterhand in WoW...... and it sux....i mean the forum that is, its really dead......a couple things i don't like which i think SWG has it right is the chat bubbles....how come no chat bubbles in WoW!!!??!?! anyway.. im a big warcraft fan.... so i was ready for the graphics.... its nice to have a separation sometimes.... the reality of characters in SWG and the cartoonish ones of WoW...... as far as game play.... i like a grind once in a while...but iin WoW i feel that there is more dynamics... u actually get xp for exploring! when you travel you really travel! and not some boot screen..... anyway.. i can go on and on... but all im saying is , if you are sick and tired of the grind here... WoW offers the quest based leveling that many here are complaining about.... as for me.... i love both.... equally....

The only complaint I have is the really naff conversion ratio!
When I first got to theVillage I had 250K Combat xp and 900K Unarmed xp, I am sure you can imagine my disappointment when I found the ratio was 3:1 and 30:1 respectively!
But then again, how easy would it be if it was 1:1 on both Combat and Profession xp?! Everyone would be a Jedi Initiate in less than a month (thats for the casual player like me!). So yeah it is a hard grind, many have said they prefer the holo grind, but personally I think it is a good idea as I really dont want to have to worry about getting loads of resources to grind crafting profs or buying new weapons to do yet another combat prof!
Ooh yeah,do missions per quest get tougher?! I have only unlocked my 2nd tree (Melee Speed, before that Ranged Accuracy - as I am a tkm/pistoleer) and on the 2nd I had redrating nasties who nearly incapped me!

Here’s a quick response from a Jedi:
1. I do not hate being a Jedi.
2. The system to unlock needs revised to replace the grinding with more interesting content.
3. The path to Jedi is not to hard, if anything, it has become too easy.
4. As to the Jedi grind, see response 2, it applies.
5. The Jedi profession still needs work, but is quite playable. In fact, I’d say it needs about as much work as every other profession in this game.
6. Enjoy the game, don’t just play it. Never live a day in hope of what tomorrow will bring; live each day for it’s own sake.
7. Remember this game is comprised of a multitude of players with differing views, goals, desires, and play styles, someone will always be unhappy with a system or change, no matter what it is.

The jedi grind is not "hard". It is tedious. I think it's just fine the way it is. It discourages many people which is what the devs intended I'm sure. You just have to be smart about how you do it. I went the TKM, 4/0/0/0 Commando route. To finish a branch it took me four days. One buff session a day. Approach the FS grind in an effective manner and it's not too terribly bad. Now waiting for that old man, that's another story
. Have a nice day!

There are a lot of posts complaining about the FS grind..but there are almost just as many posts of people complaining about people who complain about the FS grind.
