Thread: When will the slooow minded devs get around to fixing the Glowie process?

I disagree. If the glowie process is gatedthen the new player has the time to go try other aspects of the game and then they will be less likely to quit because they will see how rich the total experience of playing the game is. Now if they sign on the first day and start glowing because theDEVS have ZERO COMMON SENSE then they will gear they entire play style towards being Jedi before they try anything else. The will become glowie then instead of picking a profession they might like they are more concerned with what profession is the best grinding prof and what allows them to store the most weapons xp.

Then the Glowie system is so retarded and easy then get angry when the village is not as easy as getting glowie. The result of that is a flood of angry whiny posts by total noobs who think they deserve to be a Jedi master in 2 weeks.

Again, it all boils down to the player's maturity level. It is obvious by some posts that some aren't mature enough to respect other people's points of view. You don't have to agree with another's point of view to respect another's point of view. As far as getting glowy and village grinding, I haven't complained once about the entire process. I plan on grinding until I get my Jedi. While I'm grinding, I take time to do other things in the game. That is MY choice of how I play the game and it is not affected by the opinions of self made "veterans" (of a game?). Whether I choose to explore the rest of the SWGcontent or not,is entirely up to me. In addition, being this is a MMO, how does what my toon does affect anyone else as far as content and getting glowy? Don't bother with an answer because as I statred before, I pay $15 a month to play and I'll play however I like.

Play however you like...and I will post whatever or however I like wether you like it or not. As for don't bother with an answer....I will answer when I chose to. You should have enough common sense to know that.

Anyway back on topic. I am sure the devs know the glowie process is seriously wrong and they will get anround to fixing it...just like they fixed the grenade specialists. The problem is like always they take a long time.

Looking back through your posts in all subjects as anyone can do with the look up all users posts option. I will give you an answer that suits your posting style that you will understand easily. (since you use it as your main point in 90% of your responses lately)

"Stop whining noob"

I doubt the devs will ever take the opinion of someone so closed minded and hateful as yourself. Its players like you that cost the company more money than you earn them. Being insulting to the customer base because you think your special. I dont care if you played since day one of beta you sit on your high horse of nothing and shout stereotypes at people all day long like your something.

But your not.

Well it surely isn't going to be a big issue on their plate to deal with when they are being called "slooow minded."

-But yes, I do agree that the way to get glowy needs to be revised.

If you haven't figured out by now that fixing "broken" stuff in the game is secondary to pushing out new "content", and the developers assigned to fixes move about as fast as pond water, then you, sir, are a noob!

Don't forget about the Females....Not everyone who plays this is a HE. ANd yet another....complaint.....For all we know he's just another Jedi wanting less Jedi...What I don't get is: What's the big deal if there are so many jedi!?! Just play the game and stop complaining!

For the record I am not even a Jedi. I have no Jedi skillsor even FS skills. But the fact is so
mething has to be done and the devs are just slow minded. I expect to be flamed by the players with month old accounts but the truth is the truth. By allowing the glowie process to be a joke instead of something special thr devs have created a bunch of fraustrated noobs.

Do people really think its good for the game if every player is running around GLOWING? That's the dumb system we have here now.

Even the less than bright devs know theGlowie system is totally a joke at this time! Someone can step off the shuttle after logging into the game for the first time and be GLOWIN IN 2 HOURS! I know the devs are not too bright but c'mon! This cannot be WORKING AS INTENDED! Who implemented this retarded system? That retard should have been fired if he is not already!

How stupid the devs need to be not to realize that allowing noobs with day old characters to start glowing is bad for the life of this game? Right now the noobs are joining the game TODAY and are waiting on the Old Man TWO HOURS LATER!!!!!!! Is this a Joke? !!!!!! The noobified player knows nothing much about the game and probably never spend much time exploring all the CONTENT of the game. He will be spending his time grinding and missing 90% of the game's content then after a few months or weeks he gets bored but since he only knows and wants to be Jedi he just quits. Something needs to be done.

The glowie process needs to be gated so people spend their first few months exploring the game. Its just amazing the RETARDED DEVS implemented this glowie process that totally devalues GLOWING! I remember how excited I was when I first started GLOWING. It was special in those days but now thanks to the short sightedness of some retards hired by SOE its turned into joke. They might as well make the village a starting profession because that is what it is now.

I have little hope anything will change anytime soon or ever. These guys keep making one horrible decision after another and it keeps blowing up in their faces. Half the player base seem to have more common sense these devs.

I don't even see the glow around other players, so it really doesn't bother me. MaybeI need to get my glasses fixed. Either that, orI turned the glowing off to increase performance.

This is a complete null point as to no Brand New player can do this very fast at all. Most of the players going glowy in a few hours are vets who have come back to the game. Hell a NOOB doesn't even know the forums exist unless they have been schooled by someone. True there are some that will accomplish this but the majority don't even know what Glowy is man.

Try to not whine so much, I bet your a respect abuser aren't you...... this is about the same generalization you make as to say everyone can get glowy in 2 hrs. FS grinders support the economy and most people by the game to be a Jedi so you should mind your buisiness.

I'm not sufficiently convinced there's a problem that needs fixing. So somebody can get glowly in a couple of hours. To even get to the village they're either going to have to grind out combat levels or group up with someone willing to get past the Sith, and then they still have the problem of actually finishing the village. That STILL takes a minimum of 18 weeks or so (3 weeks x 6 phases). Then there's all the grinding necessary to actually fill up those bars.

The only argument for making this process harder that I could agree with would be one that makes it just hard enough for the new player to realize the commitment necessary to finish the village. THAT I could see as a problem.

But some new player creating a character and being glowy two hours later doesn't negatively impact my play experience one bit. Heck, if anything it's a benefit for me as it's one more Jedi who gets on the terminals without knowing what they're doing.
