That is good stuff. Another thing to remember is to make sure as ranged you don't root or snare the mobs before they get to the melee players. If you do they have to constantly move. Let them come to the melee line and let the melee players apply their knockdowns or whatever THEN apply snares or roots to keep them from escaping from the front line.

Thanks for the in input. I think i'll write a guide for group hunting and grinding and send it SOE's direction.

cool, this is a good one. thank you for the (obvious???) tips, I also posted this to my guild forum!

hopefully I will find some peeps to try this. I have noticed the same problems, that there are very few people who want to group around village.

Players in general don't seem to like to hunt aggro game, I don't understand why. It's always bols, bols, bols. That is okay if you have a mixed group of all levels (1 - 80). But a 70+ group whining about pikets and then ending up using area attacks....

Very obvious for Vet players. I wrote it mostly for newbs who need an easy to learn easy to implement hunting strategy that maximizes there game time.

Ihatehunting Bol's myself. Aggro game is so easy to group huntI just think a lot of newbs are afraid to get killed.

Hello there,

considering how long the FS grinding is, I am curious to see if this strategy actually works for people using it. Which results did you get? How many FS xp where you able to get per hour? Thanks!

I hate to give you false confidence and just say thatI pulled blank FSXPper hour. Truth is whenI last did thisI was grinding Pistols, Rifles,Carbines, Heavy weapons, Combat, Scout, and Trapping all at once. I was maxing out every few hours andI wasn't trading in asoften asI should have (I was too busy maxing my group) . On top of that I didnt keep track of the math.I knowI pulled the combat and senses novice(100k total FSXP) in about a day give or take a few hours.

Shoot from one weapon. Shoot with Pistol until you cap Pistol XP, then switch to carb or rifle and cap that XP. Now this only works for BH's as BH's can cap all three weapon types. Three to fours hours too cap all three weapons is attainable, depending on group although.

Hello,

thanks for your replies. By the way, I am online on Wanderhome often at around 12 a.m. EST. In-game name is Jad, I am Master Pistoleer, MBH, and I have some scout skills, so I may pull.

Thanks for the fast reply and the useful thread! I just would like to ask if you suggest to switch from let's say one weapon to another during the same kill or just shoot with one weapon per kill. Thanks!

Great post!

Have been FS grinding for the past two weeks and ready to hunt something other than bols or pikets. Would be great to get a group together, if anyone on Tarquinas is up for this send me a /tell or PM.

It depended on how fast we were dropping a target. If we were pulling Bull Ranchors and it was going slow,I would swap between my guns as it got closer or farther away, or what effectI was trying to get. For instance, if I wanted a continuous health bleed effectI would use my flamethrower with the BH bleed shot.

Really nice post.

I was wondering the same thing a few days ago, why aren't people grinding in groups on Dathomir? Just cutting out the trip from Tattooine/Dantooine, then all the way to the village by bike must add up to some handy time-saving over the course of the grind.

I think get into very strict routines when grinding, and don't stop to think about alternatives.
