Thread: Anyone having Problems with Eozlins Quest

I had no problems with this quest and did the survey quest last phase, the only thing I can think you may be having trouble with is the wrong resource or not close enough to the 50% spot, I never had to sample anything.
If your crystal doesnt have the quest listed in it I would submit a ticket, thats what I went to for the next resource everytime I completed a 50% spot, I sent the wp's to a few friends and they all worked for them, it didnt take 15min to complete it, I was lucky.
For the person looking for energy, just take a wind and solar tool and run around, it shouldnt be hard to find a 50% spot of either, especially solar.

Yeah, I got JTL and that's what I've been doing. Just hopping starport to starport, hoping that I'll essentially land on a 50% concentration.So far all I've seen is liketeens and low-twenties.I got close on Dath near the village (~43%) but that was the max I could find. And yeah, I've got 0001 Artisan...just picked it up for this quest.
And I am surveying for both wind and solar. But like I said, I got crappy luck so far.

Just to tell you all i am now on my 6th CSR ticket and i am very depressed to the point of thinking of cancelling my account - from the posts above it seems like at least a couple of people have done the same quests as me.
So it is not simply the fact that if you do Eozlins quest in phase 2 you are unable to do his quest in phase 3 - this must be a bug. Why the CSRs cant see this i dont know - they keep telling me to either submit a bug report (which i did straight away) or continue the quest which i told them i couldnt do as the quest was not showing up in my log. I have been on other planets etc to check but it is now driving me insane.
I am about to do my last pleding message to the csr's to try and sort out my account - if not i will be seriouse contemplating not playing anymore as I have 3 accounts - and that is a lot of money to be paying out.
I commend the CSRs for being polite etc and trying to help but they dont seem to understand what i have been trying to tell them - yet when i post on here you guys have understood straight away

You are not alone with the not working quest, i have never done the phase2 quest from Eozlin but this phase3 quest from him is not working. I have taken samples of Iron on a 60%+ spot for over an hour but nothing happend. Eozlin said something like we will have to find the special recorces "ostrine, endrine, wind crystal, rudic, ardanium2" after we havefound the needed recorce "iron" on a 50% or higher spot and took a sample. The quest journal shall update after that, or even start because so far i have nothing in my quest log atm.
Now i have a question to the others who did this quest, how have you gotten this special recorces?
...its timehave a look in game what kind of answer i have gotten to my send ticket

the first answer from the CSR to the ticket .. they do not givehints how to do the quests.. the ticket went back tothe CSR now with a little comment and a new discription of the problem

for me Eozlins phase3 quest is buggy to, i have taken it and had been told to look for a 50% iron spot. after a while i found one with 71%, i have taken alot of samples there but nothing happend. no quest log update or anythingelse

Hey Cheeky, have you tried surveying the next resource in the quest (regardless if it is in your journal or not)?
50% density of Aluminum
50% density of Gemstone
50% density of Energy
50% density of Ore
50% density of Copper
50% density of Steel
50% density of Iron
50% density of Gas
Maybe the game told you iron but is really asking you to do gemstone? I mean, the game is one big bug anyways, so it wouldn't suprise me. I do feel your frustration, as just gaining access to the village was a feat for me (I thought my sith arrival was bugged as they would appear right on top of me and I'd die due to the fact that I'm only a crafter).
Let me know if you get it resolved; I'd be curious as to the solution of this bug!

I'm sorry this isn't working out for you. I do notice people keep mentioning they sample for resources. You do no have to sample anything, you just have to survey while standing on a 50%+ concentration. I did the survey quest for II and III, back to back, without any problems. Do, however, make sure you are standing on the 50%+ spot and not jut showing 50% on the edges of the tool. And as someone else stated, I would try surveying for the next item in the list, just to see what happens. Hope it works out for you.

One other suggestion - check your inventory isn't full. When you succeed at each phase, it puts 1 unit of Sith resources in your inventory. Maybe it's broken because there wasn't room?

i followed the recorce list posted above after i had been on an "iron spot", did only survey not sampling, did the survey even as long as i had been on 55% or higher spots, so above the asked 50% .. the quest has still not shown up in the quest log, and Eozlin is still telling i have something to do .... my inventory is only 55% full (without using a backpack)

all in all it looks like if the Sith recource "part" of the quest is buggy, because i have not gotten any from the server
