Later on I am finishing my patrols up and I drive by an npc . See he is fighting a sith , I dismount and target the npc just to look at him * bam * my bike blows up . He was like sorry , and I told him not your fault I stopped LOL. He offered a ride and I declined pulled out my ab-21 or whatever it is and headed off to finish my last set of patrols.
Be careful the sith like to blow up bikes ....at least this time I had a spare . My alt that did this first had no bike and I had to walk....that's why I try to store my bike when I am about to fight them.
Sorry for the losses of vehicles, but I bet it was a sith pirate that hit it. They use the aoe attacks and hit everything around you. It is most fun to have a groupwith a piratespawn at your waypoint and right by a level 82 lair - just run at them and watch the pirate shoot you and the lair, then all heck break loose as the lair empties right on them. Best one I had so far was 3 pirates spawned right on top of an ancient rancor lair, got on opposite side of the rancors, hit burstrun through the pirates right toward the rancors - pirates were blazing away at me and hit the lair before the rancor targeted me. I felt kinda sorry for the pirates as they didn't stand a chance. Then I remembered they disabled my BARC speeder during phase 4 when I hit the wrong key and called it.

I lost three bikes on the patrols and am only on the 11th!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!!

why the hell are people driving their av-21 on dath? Everything on that planet will take it apart in one hit..
Either carry a crate of bikes or ride a mount, I always use my varctryl, he's got perfect terrain negotation and climbs the hills better than any swoop can

It is not just the sith. I am not glowie yet but while I am working on it I have had about 10 bikes blown up by the Damn imperials. While working on my rebel TP, the also aggro my bike if i dont store them when I start fighting them.
The best way I have found to counter this is I can a crate of at least 10 bikes on me at all times.
That way if one gets blown up, Say a little prayer for it, /weep for it just a second, destroy it, pull out a new one, say a prayer for it,hop on and head off.

Yeh i got my Barc speeder blown up, and 3 Swoops. 2 Swoops within 5 mins of eachother, lol. but its all good fun.
I did this quest before in september and didn't loose any, maybe the Sith got angry after CU

My tally was 3 swoops in two days. I figure that it just gave me a little extra incentive to permanently deal with the sith.... Fortunately, watching the sith also aggro creatures above their weight class almost made up for it.

I've lost 9 swoops, 2 AB-1's and 1 Sorosuub in a week and a half to the Sith. Yes. the post-CU bike hating is ridiculous.

Luckally you can get the BARC repair tool to fix that.. haha...
Yeah I am glad my other toon is an artisan... i make a crate of 10 and then head out there.. but i've gotten better about it.. if i see any sith pop up, i have Shift+F12 as the shortcut to retrieve/store my bike..

This is too funny. I guess I will need to be alittle careful out there. Oh, btw, what are you guys doing, just racing up on them?

I did the same thing. I approached the waypoint at an angle and if it was one that I had a fight at I had a hotkey to store my bike. I did all 20 patrols without loosing a bike. (I about wore it out though)

This is good when approaching your own waypoints as you can anticipate them. My problem was someone else's patrol popped up on top of me. Or maybe it was just a wild spawn. Either way, I had no warning.

I've lost at least 7 swoops since CU, probably a lot more (2 on the way to the village yesterday). I also bought & lost one of the new rides within 5 minutes to a novatrooper whilst driving through my home town.
I just feel sorry for the newbies, brings back memories of early days ingame where rides were nearly 50k a throw & that'd mean running (like, literally running!) 10 rebel missions with no buffs (was too poor to afford buffs at the time & had no armour). I'll never forget the heartbreak when having actually bumped into someone who'd sell me their speeder for 30k (a real bargain at the time & every penny I had) I then steamed into the next mission only to end up flat on my back incapped watching the desert demon start the slow walk over to db me & blow my speeder. I didn't play for days after that.
At least now I can just shrug, look at my healthy bank balance, pull a spare out of the crate in my inventory & fly off.
