I also got all 50 Outlaws and 25 Pirates on my first battle first time I went. We were in a group just outside the little entrance on the North side of the Village.

I equipped a fast pistol, TAB'd to a target, Attacked until I saw the green "You hit..." message, then TAB'd to the next, etc. I made a specific effort to target and hit every Pirate I saw, because I knew they'd not come as often. I'm pretty sure I hit every Pirate that spawned there at least once and the last 2 that showed were the last 2 I needed.
