I'm pretty sure that is the option that everyone here is saying should happen. It would close the 'nader loophole while still allowing casual gamers to continue on as they are.


Personally, since gettting in the Village 9/2004, I've unlocked 11 branches, and filled 3 boxes total with xp. 2 melee speeds and 1 healing box.And that's too fast?


bah. i won't be unlocking until around 2010 at this rate anyway.

What matters more is the profession, not a grinding tool. This change had to be made to hopefully

begin the process of fixing Commando. I could give a huge lists of the screwed up things in

the Commando profession, I won't, but in regards to nades, they were really messed up.


Change nade xp from combat to heavy weapon xp? Not practical, every prof. has a branch

that is progressed by Combat Xp, Nades is Commando's branch for this. Flame, Acid, or

Beam weapons can't be changed to Combat xp, those need to be heavy weapon xp.


The use of nades to grind may or not be an exploit depending on who you ask, but for a

Commando, it was hurting the profession. Timers could not be improved because it would

only lead to more use by nade grinders.


The only people upset are those grinding, the Commandos are pleased. So, what does

this mean? Looks like a good change to help a profession. Yes, I'm in the Village too, only

have 3 branches open but I don't mind the change to nade combat xp because I did'nt use

nades to grind anyway.

I don't see this change helping any, its going to force non-naders into naders!


I'm trying to grind as CL 5, keeping my crafting professions, and the XP I'm getting is about 475 pistols xp, and 47 combat xp, this is going to be a real drag


So yeah, think I will have to start using grenades now to even things up

No news is bad news, going by SOEs track record.

I suspect that Trader/Enteratiner will end up being worse off, and they're not saying anything, as people will quit because of it.

I'm going to quit when the sub runs out, and return if the revamps are worthwhile, unless knowledge of the revamps come before subs run out, and I like it, but I'm not going into day 1 of the new month, then the revamps get announced, and my char is shafted.

it is in TC notes too so no it isnt a rumor and the rate right now is 3:1






I was one of the first people on the forum to say it, and I'll say it again.
All they had to do was change grenades to heavy weapon XP. As it stands now the grind goes much too fast by using grenades and although SOMETHING needed to be done, I don't feel that this was the right something.

Simply changing the XP type that grenades give would have solved alot of problems for everyone.
