Timeline meaning the point in time your version takes place as opposed to the Star Wars Timeline. SWG is supposed to be happening after Ep. III and before Ep. IV. However, a thought just occurred to me. Luke Skywalker is giving out missions for the Rebel Themepark. That must mean that he is part of the rebellion. If Luke is a Rebel, then the timeline must have shifted from before Ep. IV to occurring during Ep.IV; but prior to the conclusion of Ep. IV. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

As far as I know, based on the information given outby the devswhen the game was released, the timeline hasstayed at after Episode IV and before Episode V since launch. Who knows though, with all the jedi running around maybe the timeline's gone backwards.
As far as the OP, I think it's a great basic idea. We need to move away from grinding towards quests. Unfortunately, I believe it's too late for this necessary change to occur. Perhaps they'll get it right in SWG2.

oh... depends muchly... on what badges you pick and what you do first....jedi should be rare... like they used to be... only about 100 tops running around on the server. but i'd assume you'd have to be cl 80 for much of this to work...seeing as the harder quests may take some time... and you might have to switch factions ect.... so idea answer to question but... a long time

Totally correct, especially since there is wreckage of the Death Star on Yavin in gane. The timeline is definitely post Episode IV.
