With Imp Dets I get 5 combat caps per buff thats 1,500,000 Combat xp in under 3 hours, or 500,000 fsxp.

Im on the maybe Ill make jedi before the this game ends program, lol. I dont really care about being jedi, I just didnt want all my xp to go to waste so I turn it in when its capped. I only have done combat prowess 4400 but Im not making it a grind, just doing my normal routine and having fun. Sure it will take me a year to get jedi but if Im not really trying it doesnt matter. One day Ill be like...wow, I can go do the paddy trials now, lol.

A while back I had a couple weeks off from work so I decided to go ahead and just do as much of the FS grind as I could. I ended up finishing it in 8 days. I started by spending a couple of hours and leveled up Commando 4000, bought a TON of Thermal and Imp Dets along with all the power ups I could carry, got buffed up, got into a good solo group and started taking Baz Nitch missions on Dathomir.A nice easy casual session would get me three trips to the village for 300k of FS experience. This included spending time healing BF/wounds, getting rebuffed, shopping for more grenades, helping out guild members, etc.

Doing missions on Dathomir really saved a lot of travel time since I could take missions in the general direction of the Village which made it faster to turn in experience. When I was really focused and in the "zone" I could do 4 trips to the village in 3 hours. One time I got lucky and did 5 trips to the village in a singel buff session. That is half a million FS experience in a single buff session of approx 3 hours. It was expensive, I figured that I spent approx 5 million in grenades, powerups, buffs, blown up swoops and worn out armor. But it was well worth it since now I'm spending all of my play time just doing some casual profession grinding, or helping out friends do quests and missions, exploring, chatting,and just generally enjoying the game. If I had gone the more traditional route of grinding using only Unarmed experience I'm sure I would still be grinding as it would havetaken me approx 9 times as long to do it that way. A few more weeks and I'll have my 6th unlock quest done and will have the honor of killing Mellichae. Then the REAL grind will start.

I just don't understand these people who put down those of us who used grenades to get FS experience. I suppose they feel more deserving because they did it the long way. Personally I just didn't feel like spending 4 months of game time logging in and doing nothing but grinding for 3-4 hours every day. I chose to do it the faster, smarter way so that I could have more time to enjoy the game. Perhaps these are the same people who would put down those of us who drive five miles to work in a car instead of walking? Dunno, makes no sense to me.
