This is an artifact from a player run event. Youuse to (still can?) be able to get NPCs for your event and name thempretty much anything you wanted. I've seen NPCs with the names of of the devs that spam stupid stuff. It's just players jerking you around.

He hung out by my house all day once about 3 or 4 days after the villiage went live, I was already in the village so he wasn't looking for me!
