It will take you 18 weeks minimum to unlock 6 branches.
As for the actual grinding itself, you can do it DURING the 18 weeks...so by the time the 18 weeks is up and you have unlocked your 6th branch you will have all the xp ready.
You can grind all the xp in 2-3 weeks using the tkm/4000 commando method...but this method is very likely to go out the window when the CU hits.
