Dude! Thanks for the story, it is what I needed. With this phase three stuff dragging me down, I was thinking of walking away for a while, now I want to finish even more.
Thanks.

I've been playing for about 10 months. I never rushed into the FS / Jedi scene, just sort've made my way down there eventually. I started my life as a Pikeman / Bio-Engineer and kept those two professions all through-out the path to Jedi.
Pre-CU getting speed-capped as a Pikeman was important. The +12 FS melee speed is what got me to the village. From then on I casually converted, and would unlock a branch if something interested me during that phase.
D-Day. The CU. Previously I really enjoyed my life as a Combat / Crafter combo. Now I'm CL57 and no good at either of them - I get 1 hit incapped sampling DNA from high level creatures, and I'm too low CL to take any of the MOB's I used to as a speed-capped Pikeman. I stick with it. BE, like most crafting professions, changed a lot - mostly for the worse. Pet crafting is boring and broken now.
1st double XP week. Hmmm. 2nd double XP weekend. Wow, can get a lot of XP. 3rd double XP week this past July - okay, I'm not going to miss out on this one.
Pikets and Bols to the N. Started calling them Snorks and Smurfs. I had maybe 5 or 6 boxes done before hitting the grinding stone, and by the end of the week was bored and bruised, but banked enough XP for all 6 branches.
Phase 3. My last unlock. Thankfully I had already done Accuracy a while ago. Standing in front of Nodlan I surrender my Master BE title. For the next 2 minutes I have him teach me almost 20 new FS boxes. I'm flashing like a bug-zapper.
2 days later I'm tending my factories on Rori. "Kivrin, I must speak with you" says the Old Man. Mel is only 1500m away from where I am.
A CH/Rifleman and I, a CL57 BE/Pikeman head to the camp. I use my Health crystal and borrow an ALR to take out the crystals. We take down a half dozen Siths, then Dakar, and finally Mel, the cyber-armed Lightsaber wielding evil Zabrak. He hits hard but we hit harder. I take his arm as a souvenir and get a WP to the nearest Force Shrine.
Kneeling and meditating I learn of problem plaguing Talus. Sludge Panthers. I use the WP's in the FAQ but it's slow going. As any CH will tell you, they don't spawn like they used to. Someone mentions to try the Lost Village of Durbin. Aha! A mecca of Sludge Panthers. Mission completed.
I help a couple other people with their problems. Time-consuming but not bad. 7th Trial pops up, kill them Baz Nitches. Being only CL57 I find someone to group with and head to Dathomir. I complete it and log out for the day.
Start the next day by crafting my own Lightsaber. I got the resources, made the crystal paks, and assemble my training saber. 56-115 Damage, 37 DPS. Even with the Training Saber you can pick a differnet hilt. I chose Obi-wan's from the prequels. I'm pumped. I can see the quality of crystals now even though I can't tune them, so I grab a blue one and stash it in my pack.
Very next trial was Falumpasets. Ugh, from a high to a low. A very tedious hour and a half later I completed it, thanks mostly in part to a natural lair that I milked for a good 9-10 kills.
Couple more trials. On brings me back to the Village for a Farmer. Was hoping I didn't have to do that ride again, but it's okay. Last trial comes up, help a poor Artist retrieve her supplies outside of Theed. No problem.
My last /kneel and meditate in front of a Shrine was at Old Faithful, a shrine 600m North of Bela Vistal shuttport A on Corellia. Just like that, a window pops up, some music plays, Robes appear in my inventory and a new purple bar starts filling up in my HAM area.
To make a dumb story short (too late :/) I'm killing creatures in the wetlands of Rori, hitting them for 66-67 points of damage, getting incapped, and it's pretty awesome. Sure there are hundreds of Jedi now, most of which had it harder than I did, but that doesn't matter. It won't matter to you when you put on your robes and use your Lightsaber for the first time either. Good luck.Message Edited by Kivrin on 07-23-2005 10:18 AM
From what I hear, get brawler for berserk.
It will supposedly have you doing 300-400 a hit as a new jedi.
