Good job man.
Just a quick question, can anyone use a probot?
yes
well this is the first ive read this since i posted and logged this morning...
dude why would i make this up? i took the time to post this to help out the SWG community bc this quest can be frustrating.
and yes, i stayed 75-110m away and he STILL followed. the only times i had trouble was making some turns around mountains or slightly over them.
dont come here posting unless u got something positive to say or questions to ask. i think my probot lvl was 15, but i would have to check again.
thanks to those who congratulated me.
glad to help out.
also, if using my probot to take out turrets is an exploit, i wasnt aware. i cant see how using a pet or droid to attack something would be an exploit, but the turret not shooting back at the probot did seem strange.
however, with as buggy as this game can be, it didnt surprise me that much.
Would someone be able to have the commander follow 75-100m if they are in a group? And as long as they haven't been aggro'd? I've only heard of solo'ers being able to do this and just wondering? Do they set a higher restriction on the group because of the extra reward? It took me 3 times to do it for myself.. using groups. And since helped 2 other groups accomplish it. The escorter was aggro'd in each and every case so I haven't seen what not aggro'ing a group escorter can offer...?
Congrats btw.

Excellent question. So far from reading the forums and my own experience from doing the quest in a group of 2, and a group of 8, i'd have to say that there is a difference.
If you are in a small group (2), then it looks like the commander is much easier to escort and he wont try to escape. If you are in a large group (6+), then the commander tries to escape often and you have to stay much closer to him to complete the mission.
No hard evidence to back this up mind you, just a working theory that so far fits.
Based on this, i'd advise that the two people doing the mission group, and everyone else helping form a seperate group. Any thoughts?
I salute you my friend ! /salute
This was a true masterwork of gaming. It showed intelligence, forethought, strategy, ingenuity, and guts (for trying a crazy stunt like this in the first place! Indianna Jones would be proud.)
Did the Nu base.
1. Used a Probot to clear out all the towers
2. Pulled one pirate out at a time and killed them till I got my five while my probot took out the gates.
3. Ran back and captured the commander. At this point I think I really got lucky. All the guards just went away and I was able to just walk him out with ease.
4. I stayed out 75-100 meters ahead making sure to take the best route possiable. Yes I had to go up some major hills but still was able to make it.
Goodluck all!

Thanks for the post!!!!
Worked for me last night on Starsider. Did it solo from Delta base wich was about 2.9km from the village. WOOT waiting for the old man now
