If you go only by the movies, He trainned with Obi Wan for like 2 days, (New Hope.) And trainned with Yoda for like 3 or 4 days (ESB). So by that logic then it should take you a week to make Jedi. You can't use the EU novels to support your argument how long Luke trainned, because Lucas has made it quite clear with ROTS that continuity means nothing to him.

but luke had mad crafter / scout / pilot xp stored up for conversion. and this was pre-cu too, so obi had a diff conversion rate.

Secondly If you have a lvl 80 template you will soon lose that when you become a Padawon and if you become visible by accident or by being stupid you will end up on the BH terminals and unless you are nearly a full template Padawon or a Jedi you will get owned and lose Jedi XP which you have to grind back (very frustrating).
I know this for a fact as I have just become a Padawon. If you want it bad enough I thinks you should go for it but as you go through the process it gets harder not easier so be prepared.

I think at the time, they really needed Jedi and were droppingXP conversion rates to get one to sign up. Obviously, with the recent SWARM of jedi, the conversion rates are climbing.
One, nice to be told to shut up from someone who brags about getting it a cheap way in their sig. Two, the last... er.... sentence (using the termloosely)is the best.

Ok, I never ground with grenades, so don't start telling me what I did and didn't do. They could have fixed the grenades in a way that wouldn't screw the rest of us over. It's called drop the amount of combat exp you get from a grenade to the amount you get from regular weapons. Problem solved. Instead, they opted to screw EVERY grinder over. The number of trips I have left has now almost doubled because of this. So next time check your facts before you start throwing accusations around.
Edit: Oh, and in case you didn't notice, this isn't going to stop or even slow the jedi population. It will, however, kill it for the casual players. Nice of the devs to lock this off from them, don't you think?

I will not be surprised if they make everything a 30:1 ratio and make the village 4 weeks long. They know you will grind it and they know you will pay. Since you are FS there is still hope for you to see the light and the error of your ways.

They are wrong.
I, for one, will not tolerate many more nerfs, and I will not wait for much longer for this problem to be fixed. Now, they CAN do what ever they want, but the one thing they CANNNOT do is make me continue to pay for something that they screwed up. Only I know how long I've set my time litmit at, and believe me, it's fast approaching. Alot of other "Noobies" feel the same way I do. Enough so that, after it's too late, they'll see the result of what they've done. They need to put the conversion rates back, and they need to fix the quests they've messed up.
Ofcourse, they won't. I know it, and so does everyone that's played this game long enough. And BTW, this won't even impact the number of Jedi in thew game for a LONG time. You have the current Jedi, you have the Current Padawans. How does this effect them at all?

So, while you have every right to say that you like the way things are going, I and the many others that agree with me have the right to simply say...Wait and see what happens.
If I am forced into quitting this game because I don't like the increased mindless grinding, i won't come back if they fix it after I leave. I don't want to leave, but if the Producers care so little about keeping their promises and making the game fun instead of boring, I don't have to contunue to pay for it.
I can go play WOW, or anything else I want. Power Nerfers are going to be the death of this game. Lets see what you have to say when they start merging servers.
