You can pick up in any phase. be careful if you start in phase 4 though, that village can be a bit packed full of Sith

You can start anytime, and the VIllage just entered Phase 2 a couple of days ago, so you're in good shape to start now.
Some quests can take up to 3 days to do, some only take a few hours. Read the sticky above and follow the link to the guide to Aurillia. It has pretty much all the information you need.

Yes I went there and it doesnt tell you what exactly a phase at least i could find it just tells ou when it switches phases and stuff i just want to know what a phase does.

A phase cycles the miisons that you need to become a Jedi. Only Certain missions are available in certain phases. As to their purpose? It ensures that it takes a longer time to make Jedi. This is accomplished because you can only complete one mission and unlock one skill branch per phase. Please post if this has answered your question.

umm ok that makes a bit of sense i guess ill just work on getting my jedi and then ill find out exactly what in the game

does it really matter what phase you begin in? because the old man should be visiting me like today hopefully and it just turned to phase 2. does it really matter since they rotate back anyways?
