Im only using a 5 piece armor as I stated and it works fine. However bear in mind that i throw C12 not therms. If i would throw therms i would prolly have to be more armored but now i get like 100 wounds on my HAM after each delivered 110k fs xp. Not to bad since I meditate it away just waiting fo the shuttle.

I use plain 'ole Ubese when pitchin' my 'nades and beatin' down the left-overs. I don't take any noticable damage and it doesn't decay too fast, either. I'm usin' C12's by the way.
