Yes, the cap for any type of FS xp is 5.1 million xp (as of hotfix_p10_00). This is a hard cap for any type of FS xp -it is the samer whether you have no FS skills or a level 4 FS skill. 5.1 million xp is just a little bit more than enough to get a novice FS box and all 4 lines in that tree (4.95 million xp needed to do that).

Ilooked this up using SWG Explorer (download from http://swgexplorer.dras.us/swgexplorer.htm)to look at the .tre files. Ifound this information indatatables/skill/xp_limits.iff and datatables/skill/skills.iff.

i think the cap is aftera whole line, because at the beginning with free unlocks you would cap out if u had one whole line xp on you, and tried to get another line.

Is there any limit to FS XP you can have? I have time to grind a few trees, but dont want to wait for the phases, so is it possible for me to have a few million fs xp just sitting around until I can cash it in?

I have heard that the cap is 5 million. and yes u can let the xp float around until next phase then cash it in.

my FS exp at 1.3 mil right now, i ran out of skill points so i have to save my exp lol

seeing as how we're in the second round of phases now... if you are planning on going into a different tree next phase, ie you are novice combat, but haven't picked up crafting, senses, or reflex, you can actually pick up any novice box you're going to go through... right now, i'm 2-0-4-4 combat, novice crafting, novice senses, and nothing in reflexes... though i just did whip's mission last night
