I was TKM/MDoc. I became glowy in Phase 1. Had 3 free unlocks. Played almost every day for at least a buff session. Got three remaining unlocks in first 3 tPhases. Filled 1.5 branches with FS XP as Unarmed in Id say month and a half? and remaining 1.5 branches (2 mil FS XP) in 3 weeks with C12 nades. Finished the grind and trained all 6 branches last night.
Look at it this way: You kill one Hurton Stalker and you get 5100 Unarmed XP and 510 Combat. Unarmed converts at 30:1, Combat at 3:1. Thats 300 FS XP. With C12 nades all XP is Combat - thats 5610 Combat XP - almost 3000 FS CP. In other words you have to kill 10 (thats 2/3 of the lair in full Solo group), for the same XP you get from killing ONE (1) Stalker with nades. (only requirement is money - probably spend couple mil on nades - I was lucky to buy them at 20-25k a crate of 25, maybe one peice of chest and one pair of laggings composite - 70k(80% kinetic and rest)).
If you find it more fun to do it the 'old way' (the slow way), gl and have fun. I just thing that after the 80th trip to the village you might think damn I cold have been done 30 trips ago and now I still have 20 trips to the village. Or, more likely it'll be after 10th or so trip
If I had to grind more than 2 branches I'd definetly change my template to Commando - no matter how much you love yours now - you can grind Commando 4000 in no time and than back ti TKM in no time - it will take you months of grinding in both cases - just a lot different number of months depending on the case. Find and read the posts here how to grind with nades - read them.

You spend how many hours playing for that 1.8 mill Unarmed? Don't tell me one buff session - with that DB and rebuffing in between?
In one buff session you can easily get 220K FS XP with C12 nades (300K Unamred, 300K Combat each trip to the village). Get buffs and group in MO, grind in SO.

Try the grenades out, I did and proceeded to get Commando 4/0/0/0 the next day.
At the very least it allows you to grind less and do other things like for me play my master crafter alt to support my growing grenade habit.
At this rate I might have to redo master Weaponsmith that I just dropped for shipwright a month ago.
DOH!

I am a TKM and I run mission on Dant or I run around killing wild spawns. Either way it takes me 1 buff session (If I try real hard to max out unarmed). Random spawn killing goes quicker since you arent running back and forth to the mission term. So find a nice secluded place like Yavin and go kill everything you come across. Although I have decided I like the random NPC spawns on Lok for the loot.

I got into solo groups and did 13k quenker missions. You get about 75k-80k per lair and it takes about 10 mins per lair. But what you can do is first do the 5000-5200 quenker missions (still in a solo group), get fully buffed and wear a comp chest, legs, boots, and gloves and go right to the lair. Ignore the initial spawn and whack the lair with your vk's. Make more to come out then just make sure you keep the lair targeted as you then will just throw nade after nade at the lair untill all the spawns die. You can get about 50k combat xp per lair (2550 combat xp per kill as long as you donthit themwith punches)and only takes about 15 mins or so. Yes stalkers and baz nitches give more but i find out they do more damage on you etc. and they take longer to kill. Sure you get more xp but the quenkers i found a lot easier and faster and they do like no damage. Especially since the nades give you a lot of bf it is best to face the quenkers. Then whan you get about 210k combat xp then max out normal xp using tkm (doing the 13k quenker missions). You still get 90k+ combat xp doing this when you cap out your 900k. So in about 2-3 hrs you can have 130k fs xp.
P.S. Use unarmed spin attack 2 always. It will go wayyyy faster

Other tka master here.
Yes the grenades system works fine. I tryed it and I got 300k combat exp before the 900k unarmed exp.
But but I definately don't like hitting a lair with the grenades and destroying all around including my armor and also taking some 600 battle fatigue in less then 1h.
I really prefer beeing ina solo group on dantooine running animal missions (huurton stalkers, wild lairs, piket protectors and so on ...) doing some chat in the while.
This way I gain enough exp to fill the branches in time with the new quest ... the real problem is the 3 weeks-phase at the village.

i can max out both ua and two handed exp in one buff hunting rancors on dath, if i see spider spawns near my missions or on the way then its out with the nades to get alittle combat exp, seems to be working well, now if i could just keep from getting agroed in the vbillage everytime i go there.
