They arent interested in teaching people to play the game. They are interested in people playing the game longer. In the world of SOE longer grind=longer time people will continue to play the game. Saddly with many powergamers they may be right. The problem is they will lose casual gamers who arent going to be able to put in the time to lvl their characters now. That seems a big mistake to me, as casual gamers tend to stick with a game longer than powergamers, who just quickly lvl their character to uber lvl, grow bored and then move on to the next game.

i disagree... when i first started playing there were no grinding groups.. just about everyone was a noob.. and i was a casual player but i enjoyed getting on and explorine the differnt planets and killing stfuu and doing missions.. it was alot of fun.. in fact i still do it.... if youw ant to have fun and level at the same time just pick a planet and a friend or two and just run off into the wild and kill everything in your xp range.. you be surprised how much fun you have.. its a sure of a lot better then the MO....

I like when I post something and people give a thought outreply rather than flaming me (I get flamed alot). I guess your right, the only problem that Im having is that I really don't have much else left to do in the game, Ive been playing allmost since the game started and Ive done all the interesting content. All I really had left to do was try Jedi. Something that I just dont have the ability to do now. Im just not interested in going out and grinding every day to not see any result or benefit until 2 years later. Call me crazy.

SOE listens to money, like any large company does.
If you're petitioning, it usually means you haven't cancelled your account and moved on to something else. So SOE's happy that you have petitions: it means that in all likelyhood they're still getting paid.
Want to make a difference? Cancel your account(s) and disappear from the forums. That will be far more effective in communicating your dislike to SOE, because it affects the bottom line.

sure y not, doesnt hurt anyhting and i have already stopped this game due to the horrible changes. City of heroes rocks crap on SWG

Not that I dont hate the new xp system, but SOE doesnt give a sh!te about petitions.
