If they removed the possibility to get jedi from the game, they know how many people will quit. They can probably make it harder, and some will quit...but im sure most would stay as long as it is possible.

I'm sure alot of new players have found out by now that it takes a LOT more than just becoming glowy to get a Jedi. Hence a lot of complaints and whining so now it's about time for the mighty nerf bat!

Just wait and see! I'm sure it will be possible to buy that jedi initiate unlock soon enough (with RL cash!).

What about when teh village opened up and the people who had done 95% of the holo grind? They didnt get a free unlock, they just got a boost towards teh end of the village. If this does happen you wont get a free unlock, you'll just get some sort of boost or w/e towards the new system.

the village can't be closing cuz like others have said why bother fixing mel quest if it wasn't going to be active anymore? this just sounds like a bad rumor started........ if they were closing that would suck cuz i'd feel bad for all the people who haven't unlocked yet cuz IMO everyone deserves a turn.....

thay will not close the village,as it would not benefit them thay may update it for a ression that thay have, but close it no..they need the village side of the game for jedi, this is what give them most of their income

If you watch the new trailer that keeps annoying you on the SWG login screen, and watch it, its telling you that you can become a Jedi, so they cannot release that then do away with Jedi. Yes they could remove the Village system to become a Jedi, but they would have to replace the Village with something else for us to become Jedi, I wouldn't worry at all. If they did close the village and ppl was on their 2nd, 3rd or 5th unlock, then they would have to grant us something like free unlocks or something etc

This rumor just keeps popping up even though thy constantly debunk it.


Mods need to do a better job me thinks . . . and keep the rumor mill closed . . . at least for the ones that keep popping up.

realistic, i think the old man should visit a random qualified player, at a random time to goto the village. Qualificationsshould bemastering at least 2 or 3 professions, beating a couple of elite mobs, and other fun, content filled,realitively challanging tasks.Nomore getting glowy from pois = fs. I think the fs grind should exist but over the course of that grind you gain the glowy status. 6 branches complete and you are glowy. Rather than the old man telling you that you need to kill Mellichae, it will be another randomly generated, specific to your toon npc, who will serve as your guide throughout jedi - becoming your 'master'. At that point you continue your jedi grind taking CONTENT FILLED quests and learning fromyour master. You should be able to become fully templated by following an answer based long quest leading you to the darkside or the light. If you choose the darkside, by the end of the grind you have a choice of continuing your training as a jedi knight, or turn on your master and strike down the challanging npc, completing your path to the darkside.

Would be really cool if they closed that place. Way to many noob jedi out there abusing their force rights. I always had this idea to make some mission where players must hijack a Corvette and set a course for it to crash into the village.


But really, some changes need to be made to that place and it would be nice to see it closed for a few months.
