have had jedi for 3 hours and just had fun trying to figure out how to craft a good saber. Think most people that get bored with the game are power gamers. They are the ones you can find in any rpg, that want the super character with the best weapons and can't be touched.

But I got jedi cause I want one like everyone else, but before I get to play and start develope him I need to go create my new toon from getting to jedi to make me the interested ranger/squad leader.

What is the big obsession with jedi? next to everybody has it, most don't even play it, its weak, a longer grind than FS with "setbacks"

Just wondering why you guys are so obsessed with it...im not flamin or whatever just curious, i can't remember why i was so obsessed with it anymore having actually experienced it...

opinions?

Rakov for many people Jedi is the last step in a progression. I have played all the proffesions now in game other than musicain, most of them I even mastered for a while. I always came back to my favoraite BioE. with the CU and all the changes BioE's have a max CL of 62 making it hard to sample some creatures without repeated deaths. I have been glowy since the system came into effect, and only recently choose to complete the village and go jedi. I don't think I will ever go full template jedi as I wish to remain a BioE first and foremost. Whatever I become from there is just to help me live and enjoy the game more and more.

Those that are bored with Jedi should stop playing them! Don't complain and tell other it stinks just becuase you dont enjoy it anymore. We all have our own reasons for becoming Jedi and not all of them are about being an uber class.

Do you think we could sticky the answer to this one? I mean, a Jedi comes and asks it at least every three days. It's as annoying as... "when does t3h ph4se change?"

I honestly can say, I don't look forward to ruining my template by getting those 24 FS skills. The thing I do look forward to is getting a 2nd character slot.

No, most of the Jedi population doesn't know squat. Even about Jedi.

like when we tell you about the crushing let down jedi is once you actually achieve it, or how regular professions are more powerful right now? Does the thought of swinging a saber really mean that much to you? i know it did to me but the awsome factor of it died within 2 weeks...

Jedi is like Ranger, It requiers you to Improvise in a difficult situation, Adapt to the changing environment and situation,in order toOvercome adversity.

What is the big obsession with jedi? next to everybody has it, most don't even play it, its weak, a longer grind than FS with "setbacks"

If its that bad then cancle your account.

As for most not playing it, thats just BS. My Jedi friends on WH are on almost every day.

Just wondering why you guys are so obsessed with it...im not flamin or whatever just curious, i can't remember why i was so obsessed with it anymore having actually experienced it...

I'm not flameing ya just responding. Ranger and Commando have problems with broken partsof their professions and we work around it. It really is just that simple. Grind, test,tweek,repeat......thats all anyone has to do to get what they want in SWG.

I'll be starting the FS grind once I can pull it off. (Master ID/Master Dancer can't really run themeparks when most are too busy with their own grinds or pvp).

I've been playing since launch, and I've seen the Jedi profession change over time from the outside.

I don't want to be powerful. I don't want to be a great PvP'er. I don't care about my PvP rating. And no, I won't be "grinding" my Jedi.

Jedi is the one thing in this game I can't just log in and toy with in a matter of minutes or hours.

Sure, I can grind to novice BH, or novice anything, in just a couple hours. Then, I can toy with Ranger, or Commando, or Pikeman, or Weaponsmith, or whatever. I have tried every single profession in this game, with the exception of shipwright (due to a complete lack of interest in JTL).

Jedi is the one thing that's been shut-off to me since launch, unless I succumb toweeks of endless, mind-numbing grinding. And I just won't do that to myself.

After a statement like that, most Jedi say to me "you should see the grind once you hit padawan". But, there will be no grind after that.

Padawan is my end-game. If I choose to run a mission or two, so be it. If I choose to play around with some of my friends during PvP, great. I could care less about the bazillions of xp needed to gain a skill. I would rather have the training saber. No, I won't be hunting down pearls for 500 gazillion credits. Never.

And once I hit padawan, I'll know for sure that I can log in whenever I like, and sample all the professions at my leisure, and I won't ever have to grind to try something new.

My in-game wife says that Jedi is addictive (she's a full-temp enhancer-something). Maybe she's right. Maybe I'll get hooked, and I may actually enjoy the grind after that.

Until then, I only grind because I have to just to be a Jedi. After that, I'm a Padawan Jedi, and I'm finished.
