If you check the holocron faq you will find out that the only difference is the tone of the message. People who have both used them and got the same profession to master but the specific text of the message was different per the type of holocron.

Sith holocrons function the same as Jedi holocrons. The only diference between the two is appearence. Sith holocrons are shaped like a pyramid and are red. Jedi holocrons are a cube and they are blue.

I just got the sith holocron from the dark jedi quest on Dantooine and found out that I can not place it in my house. I was wondering why this is. If anyone could tell me, I would appreciate it greatly. Thnx.

So you cannot sell/trade it.

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

A holocron gained from a quest cannot be dropped or traded.

This I assume was done to keep people from doing the quest just to sell the holo.

I have a Sith Holocron and am unsure on what to do with it....

What would happen if i used it? would it be like the other Holocrons and simply tell me a master profession i will need to complete to become a jedi?

Or is it something else?

How much is it worth an how much could i sell it for?

It's just a normal holocron but red and pyramid shaped, and it will tell you to master a profession just like the blue holo's.It'sreally worth nothing now because the jedi system changes are only about 6 weeks away.

Sith Holocrons are identical to the blue Jedi Holocrons in every respect other than appearance. Using it will tell you a profession to master to unlock your FSCS, although the on screen message is slightly different (it's more "dark-side" hehe).

You can use a mixture of blue Jedi and red Sith Holocrons to discover your holo professions with no problem, you are not restricted to using either one or the other.
