People buy this game to be immersed in the "Star Wars experience".
thanks for telling me why i bought the game, i have been wondering for a while. there was me thinking it was so i could have fun
no problem.
so by your logic, because I pay 15/month and I like having a SWG feel, you are taking away from how I want to play.......SEE??? it goes both ways.

What if they brought back the Blue Glowies after a Jedi dies in order to bring continuity back to the game?
How would they do it?
1.) Reinstate the Jedi 'perma'death/blue-glowy.
2.) New Code 66 storyline in order to purge the jedi - regardless of their faction standing.
3.) Recreate the Jedi system and make it a mystery again.
Would you accept something like this?

Let's put perma-death on your main character first, just as a test. Come back and let us all know how it works out for you, k?

I wouldnt mind at all. Actually. It is a matter of being accountable for youor your toons actions while ingame. Sure, there is the occasional ctd, but that is why pd was not on the first death, but rather the 3rd death. I will volunteer. It is not so bad as people think, and many many veterans came through permadeath with their jedi intact.
When permadeath was in effect, your Jedi was an additional FSCS, not your main that you've put hundreds of hours into. And in accordance with the "risk vs. reward" that everyone keeps crowing about, Jedi were absolutely alpha-class, a mid-grind padawan able to obliterate 5 elite profs without much effort. Not thenerfed-half-to-death profession that it is now.
That being said... be my guest, because permadeath will never be put backinto effect. Since you so happily volunteer, then the next time your main character dies, I expect you to log out and delete him, no cloning allowed, no transfer of inventory, or credits, or housing ownership allowed.

option 1 would litterally kill the game... and i've said it all along that xp rates will not control the jedi population but changing the way to glowy would! anyone who does the slightest bit of research knows the badge list that gets you glowy. me, i didn't seek jedi and i didn't become glowy until my 75th badge and i reached 100 badges before becoming jedi. It needs to be randomized again!

You must not have been around during permadeath, because as I understood it, your character did not get erased, just the skill points. That is where the fact of permadeath turned myth.
Whatever. Please surrender all of your skills including FS upon your next character death, let us know how you make out.
