If you want to cut your trip to the village in half just have someone kill you and you get a free trip back to the cloner. Dont be afraid to die guys its a game. It has no affect on your character other than BF.
I do that all the time. 
although it can be surprisingly hard to get someone to kill you. I think most people think your trying to trick them into a duel.
People go there to hunt big things...like yavin 4...you cant build houses on it
but there are some of the most dangerous NPCs on the whole server there

it doesn't have cause . . . .
long ago a Nightsisterstumbledupon the village seeing this huge flying beast which launched itself into the sky. So fearful was this Nightsister that she gathered her friends and petsto slay this beast as they feared it would fly to close to their homes. The battle was horrid as the huge steel beast put upno resistance as lightning struck it and tooth and claw ripped its skin from its steel skeleton. Once finished, the sisters pillaged the village and took many of themen for procreation. "be warned" they said. "for if you should capture another steel beast we shall return"
Well the villagers were kinda freaked out . . . so they decided to never have a shuttle again in fear that the sisters would return.
And that is why there is no shuttle at the village . . .
or is it cause the devs want the village experience to be difficult? you be the judge. 
Why the village doesn't have a shuttle...hmm.
Because the devs didn't put it in? This is one of the few cases in which the "why" doesn't really matter. It is the way it is, it has been discussed multiple times, and is not in the works to be added anytime in the future.
Crappy I know, but tis how they want it.
