these are static bases that just respawn after such time? -- why are there so many if you only have to destroy one? Where do these codes fit in -- where do you get them and what do you do with them?
Read the sticky that gives details on all the quests, phases, etc. for more information. You loot the code disks from Sith and take them to Capt. Sarguillo to be converted into a shield remote that you can use to drop the shields at the base. Each base has multiple spawn points for Sith around their perimeter. Since there are so many bases and you only need the codes to one specific base you will need to farm up a number of disks.
The base itself doesn't get destroyed in your attack, only the turrets and gates. These items will respawn and the shields will be restored in 2hrs from the time you brought the shields down.

lol.... that sounds crazy hard..... bad enough animals will aggro.. then yo uhave to worry about sith... not to mention anything else that can happen on a 30 min to 45 min. walk.... i am gonna have to pay a couple knights to help me with this it looks like........
This really is not a difficult quest if you are don't rush into it without a plan. Your best bet is to team up with another person who has not done the quest.
Once you both have the quest you need to go out and do a little exploration. Find the bases which are closest to the village and write down the names of those bases. The names change with each phase shift so what was Eta base during the last phase 3 may not be Eta base in the next Phase 3. Once you have a few bases waypointed, you need to begin killing the sith spawns until you loot a shield control device for one of the bases you wrote down. Once you have that and the waypoint disk, go back to Cpt. Sargillo. He will most likely give you a waypoint to a base that is completely different from the base on your shield control device. Ignore the waypoint he gives you. Instead, proceed to the base indicated on the shild control device. Doing this will cut down your travel time considerably, especially if you can get a shield device for the base that spawns about 3000m or less from the village.
Once you arrive at the base you need to set yourselves up for the attack. Park your speeders about 100m from the front entrance to the base. As soon as you are both ready, have your partner bring down the shields. Now this is where it gets tricky. Once the shields come down, waves of Sith Thugs will begin to spawn. Your objective here is to kill X Thugs for the Commander to spawn. Before you do this, however, you REALLY need to bring down the turrets and the front gate. Pre-CU this was accomplished by either having a commando use rocket launchersorsending a probe droidto attack the turrets and the gate. I am not sure how strong probe droids will be vs. these bases post-cu so if you use this method you might want to have several droids in your inventory before you begin the quest and consider them an investment in the quest. Pre-CU the Thugs seemed to ignore the probe droids when theyattacked the turrets.
Once you have the turrets and gate down you are ready to get on with killing the Thugs. You actually have a few options available which you can use to kill the required number of Thugs. You can try to pull the Thugs one at a time by using the DOT tick method (eg hit a Thug with a bleeding shot). When the DOTticks, the Thug will aggro whoever shot him. You need to drag him about 100-150 m from the base and kill him so you do not get aggro'd by any other Thugs. Repeat this step until all required Thugs are killed and the Commander appears inside the base.
Another option is to avoid killing the Thugs altogether and just go for capturing the Commander. This is accomplished by having the person who brought down the shields die. Once he dies the Commander will appear inside the base. It might be a good idea for you to have a rez plan worked out for your friend so he does not have to drive back from the outpost after he dies. Once you have rez'd your partner, have him sit back about 200m away from the base while you watch theThug spawns. Once every four or five waves you will notice a small window wherethere are no Thugs at the main entrance. This is your moment to strike. After the last Thug disappears from the base entrance, you need to swoop into the base and get to the back where the commander is while your friend stays put. Quickly destroy the gate to the commanders tent and get inside the tent as fast as you can. Once inside, you can capture the commander then swoop back out of the base. You will most likely be aggrod by the Thugs as you swoop out. No worries. Just keep going until they break aggro. The commander should still be following behind you. If he stops following you thenyou need to wait until the Thugs break aggro then circle back around and recapture himr by using the Capture option on his radial menu. Now have your team mate meet you and ride along side of you while youwalk the commander back to the village. Since youselected a base that is 3k or less from the village the walk should not take more than 10-15 minutes. You will be attacked by two or three waves of Sith Pirates on your way back to the village. Each wave will have two or three pirates. I found the easiest way to get past this is to have your partner draw the pirates aggro and you just keep going to the village. Do not stop to fight them let your friend deal with them. Remember, your partner does not have to kill the pirates. All he has to do is draw their aggro off of you so you can continue on to the village. Once you are out of range he can hop on his swoop or whatever and lose them. After he loses their aggro he can catch up with you before the next ambush.
It's that simple and easily accomplished if you have patience anda solid plan in place before you start the quest.
Ive got to do this phase i have all xp banked up just complete this phase and im done with FS

Your rewards include the Sunrider's Destiny crystal and the now USELESS mind buff crystal (the latter if grouped).
Good luck!
Just one question: I understand the mind buff crystal was great pre-CU but do you think it has been/will bemodified to something useful (for instance) giving a bonus to mind regen?

Daetori, I've got to do this quest too, so if you want to group, let me know.

TBH I love Phase 3& 4
Great Loot, Reasonably hard NPC's and the best quests.. alot more interesting than Phases 1 & 2. And you can also get xp while doing the quests. If anyone on Farstar needs a hand send me an ingame /tell.

It's on the list of issues submitted to the forum correspondent. I'm sure the devs understand that many of the Village rewards are obsolete and will have a fix for this soon. Keep your crystal and don't sell it to the first person who offers you a few hundred thousand credits.

If you're the person bringing down the shields and you are the one that dies so that the commander will spawn do you fail the quest because you just died?
The person who lowers the shields and dies will still earn all rewards and the unlock. Even if you don't walk the Commander back to the Village. This has been repeated and confirmed.
