Thread: So becoming FS is now impossible for crafters/entertainers/etc.?

I think the devs should come up with a way for a none combatant to become force sensitive. What I don't agree with is a none combatant becominga full fledged Jedi with light saber and all. If you don't want to be a combatant you should not become a Jedi because that is a combat profession.

I am a crafter - only to use the craft parts to make better stuff and atm I can say even the ride is ...lets say better than any coffee I sould ever make. CL5 when I have only 2 incaps on my way over datho I make 3 X and be happy normally they kill me 500m before I could reach the fog so it takes more than 1 ride for me to get to the village, the way back is normally faster.

Well, crafters can, technically, still become Jedi. After the Sith visit, its possible to unlock without any combat whatsoever, as their are 6 crafting related missions, 8 combat, and 2 medical.

Some of the crafting missions require sith resources, meaning you'll want to have some ready cash on hand to buy them or strike up friendships with the combat monkey's killing sith during the big sith killing times of the phases.

You'll just need some friends to help you with the badges, then to help you with the sith. Then, to help you travel Dathomir unless you feel terribly lucky.....

Exactly, after getting glowy, I can attain Jedi with all four crafting branches and 2 senses branches (survey). My problem is with the post-oldman sith. Also, remember, that they are ranged. Unless I have a ranged combat profession to get in a shot from a distance, I am dead before I ever get a hit in. So even if I am grouped with someone, I may not even get the required 1 hit.

Just as an example, I am a CL16 with Novice Swordsman. The I am a 1 shot incap for all Sith Shadows. I have to get to 5m to get my hit in. Not very likely. I also need to survive the entire time to be able to /loot.

Just get a ranged weapon that has no profession certifications. There are a variety of weapons that are based only on your skill level, I for example am a TKM/MDOC and I run around with a Level 54 laser rifle that I always start combat with.

You can at least get off your one shot this way, but it won't help you much on killing the sith, you will still need some assistance to get that job done.

At level 16 I would recommend a DLT20a Rifle (CL7), that will get you 45m away at least. For a little more punch a E11 Carbine (CL14) has a 40m range. Either can be used by you.

Also forgot to mention, as long as the friends you are grouped with attack first, you will never even get hit by the sith. Since your friends will be doing more damage than you, they will keep the aggro the entire fight. You just pop a shot in each of them and then loot them when they have killed them.

I don't think they intend it to be for non-combatters. Since if they could do it easily, for a combatter it would be EXTRA easy. Jedi is all about fighting as far as I can see, so you'll need combat.

then they can remove the crafters and sense trees.

No they can't. A mixed crafter/combatant can take advantage of it.

try to become cl 80 with a mixed crafter/combat prof. i think when you have one combat elite prof you are cl 54 and you have to fight against 2 or 3 cl 77 sith shadows when you are glowy. have fun.

Level 54 is correct. My friend is the mixed combat/crafter, and we got her glowing, killed the sith, and even finished Whip's phase 1 quest. Oh and yes, we did have fun. The key? Grouping. It was easy, and fun, to be honest.

A pure crafter will most likely not get Jedi. MAny don't want Jedi . . . they just want the crafting bonuses. But those that do will have dificulty with the village exit quest aka Mal . . . and the initiate trials.

Becoming glowy should be easy in my opion . . . obtaining jedi . . . thats another story altogether.
