I was visited by the old man and missed him... then i logged for a bit and then logged back on... hung out around where i was for about 10 mins and he came back

No, i trained my 24th box at 7 this morning and was visited at 2 in the afternoon

I had to wait about 12 hours but it might have been when they were restarting the servers every day still. Got visit in december so it was long ago.

When you train your last box in FS does your Quest Journal update...or do you just wait till old man?

just finished at about 2am US east, gonna go sleep and get my visit in the morning
nothing was said in the quest journal, i just assume six branches will do it like everyone else.
