IT IS A BUG - It is being fixed.
patience is a virtue possess it if you can.
anyway a few weeks delay is nothing at all to Jedi (patience is a skill they generally have unless they are Anakin....) in the pastit could take you over a year to even figure out how to unlock....
I realise you are doing your best. As of this time you are the only person that has clearly stated that it is a bug. I realise that you correspondants are volunteers. At the same time this is a pretty major bug, for those that saw the commercials and where lured into buying this game in hopes of being a Jedi. What needs to happen is an announcement and thus acknowledgement of the bug by the developers and not just one correspondant. Something they have seemed reluctant to do. Heck if you could get a couple more correspondants to post that it had been acknowledged as a bug, then that would be great too. However even the Jedi Correspondant who is over this forum has not done that.
I think what you, the correspondants and the developers need to realise is that patience is running thin, very thin. Star Wars Galaxies has failed in Japan, and will be closing in the first quarter of next year. It failed because the Japanese people expect and demand a higher level of quality than most Americans do, and that expectation was not met causing many of them to leave the game in a very short time. That problem is going to continue, Americans have a limit too, it takes much longer to meet it, but they too can tire of a system where they are continously asked to be patient, when they have shown far more patience than is reasonable.
We have seen a steady pattern in releases. This past year has had the most horrid record of patch releases to bugs of any MMORPG in existance. It seems for everything thatis added, they manage tobreak three things. Most of these are minor and do not affect gameplay adversely, but more and more we are seeing major game breaking bugs get into the game. These major bugs are gamebreakers for some people, and the more we see of them the more people are affected.
The developers themselves are not fully to blame. They are under unrealistic demands from management and marketing. They need to be given sufficient time to program and test product before it is sent live. A month long beta test is not sufficient in most cases. They also need to give heed to their current player base, to look for those ideas which seem popular among the people and try to implement as many of them as is possible, while maintaining the highest level of quality possible. It is a tall order, but it can be done.
I am fearful that this game will not be here next year at this time if changes in management and marketing are not made.SOE cannot continue to push live bug ridden code and then ask people continously to remain patient. They also can't afford to lose any significant number of subscribers. Thus qualtiy control needs to take a much higher priority than we have seen to date.
I agree whole heartedly

i will never spell check and to add i would not flame if i did not get flamed. u guys need to understand one thing that these kinds of things happen all the TIME. If broke something everytime i fixed it i would nit have a job that is right a a JOB and i know just about if nto more ahtn most ppl here. i read every forum post i can and i keep a full desktop of icons to read up on DAILY. The problem is that its always a cry about something and im not cryin im tellin u a fact ( btw spellin has nothin to do with ne thing). PPl will leave if this is not fixed and they will leave just because BS like this happens.
u guys say im full of it i dont know what im talkin about well fine.
im not the problem u guys seem to think its ok to brake something every time u fix it. R U OUT OF UR MINDS. What place is this kind of business acceptable on.
tell me im controversial but not stupid i am makeing more of a point of problem thatn i should. once again R U CRAZY. if i came over broke ur tv everytime i came over to fix it u woudl kick my ass and not pay me a cent........
i think u guys really autta rethink ur approach about arguing with me. and to add i will flame when IM falmed not a second sooner " not a day before." i dont dislike ne one
but the fact is that something that worked was broken and it needs to be fixed, as fast as is humanly possible and sooner thatn that to be honest.
that is all i will say continue to post i will continue to have my opinion and to add if u have 9 postes u have not helped ne one ever unless it was ingaem in which case he sound like, through his posts that he is not a nice person to play with( killer personality ) yes i have read Richard A. Bartles: players who suit MUD's. and i will add he designed the first MUD ever.

Im Not behind you.
If it does, then good riddance. That's about 1,000 more J3d3y3 wannabe's I won't have to see flashing their sabers in starports or everywhere else.
Maybe then the Devs can actually focus on fixing the numerous bugs that are already in the game instead of pandering to a bunch of glow-stick fanbois.
QFE
guys no need to troll
state your opinion in a non flamming manner - you all should not be upset with each other. It is the bugs we should be upset with.
