Permadeath is, thankfully, a thing of the past. Now it is just XP loss.

(BTW, the Blue Glowy aspect of permadeath -whereabouts a Jedi Master who was killed too many times would turn into one - never made it to production. AAMOF, In the pre-pub 9 system, people couldn't even get to "Jedi Master" because of the AP problem. 4444 Guardians were the top echelon.
