I think it stinks that I have to be penalized because of the current jedi who did grind grenades. Maybe SOE should take their robes.

I can see why they are considering changing the ratio, even if I don't wish to see it happen - I've got guildmates still grinding out FS exp.

As for the "unaffected" mindset, I will admit that after having gotten Jedi, it's inevitable that one's perspective will shift. I'm sure if I were still banking exp this change would make me speak out against it more zealously.

Short-timer,

I agree with you. Moving the goal posts etc is a pain. I was a holo grinder...did the first couple but didn't get any of my silents done. So, no free-unlocks for me which basically meant any progress I made was effectively brought back to zero. I didn't get upset though. I figured the village would be much more fun anyway than grinding profs I had no interest in. Now I'm nearing the end of the fs grind (after an extended vacation) and the goals are yet again going to be set just out of reach. It's frustrating. I think your suggestion to give advance warning is not only a good idea but should be a mandatory practive when the DEVs implement a change this significant. If they said "We'll give you two more months on this system and then it's going to be XX" then at least they're giving people a shot to prepare for it rather than trying to sneak it by.

I've also heard a lot of people suggest bringing back perma-death or blue glowies. Many of these same people later ammend their post with "maybe that's too harsh". How about bringing back the blue-glowie idea but adding a little more depth to it. The blue-glowies from the movies (Obi, Joda, etc) were usually a source of wisdom/power for the younger jedi. Perhaps if jedi were killed and became blue-glowies that could somehow assist their jedi guildmates/friends it would not be so harsh. That or give the jedi, upon being killed, the option of becoming a "normal" char with no fs again or going blue-glowy.
