a few Facts for you all!
1. anikan skywaler was 9 years old when he left tatooine close to 10 actually, he was also a gifted padawan and advanced faster then most jedi even though he complains he is being held back, yes around 18 most padwans take the trials, but anikan missed out on 10 years of training he was 19 in episode 2 so he was about 20 21 when he made Knight.
2. jar jar DOES NOT DIE in ep 3
3. The prophecy of the chosen one says there will be a chosen one and he will bring ballance to the force it says nothing about him being a jedi anikan skywalker is the chosen one not luke it is he who kills the last of the sith and brings the force in to ballance as luke cries on the floor like a coward because the empror kicks his rear with force lightning,
4. Qui-gon will not apear in EP 3, how ever his voice does and he tells yoda about the whole force ghost thing there is no mention about him being wrong because he is not ANKIAN IS THE CHOSEN ONE How ever this scene may have been cut
Dont beleive me read the revenge of the sith novel. sorry if i spoiled any ones experiance, but please get your faxts straight or do not speculate lol

Anakin does bring balance to the Force... until he came along it was Light-side heavy.
Jar Jar doesn't die? Man, doesn't that take all the fun out of the new movie....

NOOOOOO!!!!! Jar Jar is still alive in ROTS!!! Why want he.....just die? *tear* I hope Palpatine gets peaved at him and Fries him to death with lightning. *My stupid butt went and read some stuff from the ROTS novel...* Ok...back on topic lol. Anakin and Luke....Ankain, from what I have read in the lore is ten years old during Episode One...and Padme is like fourteen. Anakin, as his mother said, knew nothing of greed and what not during his childhood. This still dosen't explain why he is as he is in Ep2. As he states, he has never gone a day without thinking about Padme between movies, also we have to rely on the fact Lucas is trying to show his downfall towards becoming Darth Vader, and is trying to make it seem like there is no doubt he will become Darth Vader, but let's face it...if the Anakin we see in Ep. 2 becomes Vader...when he chops luke'shand off it will more be like. "NOOOOO!!!!!" Luke yells, "I told you never talk to tiny green strangers, and not to stay out past 10, and hangout withsmugglers!!!! Don't fail me again!!" Vader shakes his fist. We also have to consider that Anakin had been hanging out with Palps....ok...I think I would become evil hanging around that guy...err. wait I already am...on to Luke....
Luke was trained differently than regular Jedi, he was not forced to give up material objects, and family ties. Granted he didn't recieve the same saber training as the Jedi from the Old Republic has, but again that took years of training and perfection. And we have to assume Anakin isn't doing so hot since he has went for a swim in a lake of lava heh.
However...I think Luke did some major camping on degobah...

*From SOE*
"Yes we sent several warnings to Mr. Skywalker to stop camping the caves on degobah. We finally just had to tell him if he didn't stop we would cancel his account for several months...However Mr. Lucas got int the way and said to let him continue his current method so they could finish the second and third movies sooner."

I'm just glad they finally made the obviously correct statement that force powers are neither good nor evil, those are just traits of the people and other living beings.

I tried to get help...but I found it was more fun to fry people with force lightning....the doctor told me I was crazy...then I force gripped him....after which he told me I was insane...then I just tossed him through a wall and grabbed some Dark Jedi robes. Then I went after Jar Jar....j/k

I'll believe everything from the ROTS book when I see it in the movie. I find it hard to fathom that Lucas would let the book go to print if it was really going to spoil the entire movie. I'll see the movie first, then read the book. Regardless of age and who dies when, the bottom line is this:
Anakin = old school Jedi
Luke = new school wuss

Luke did prof grinding pre pub 10.. so he had 6 free unlocks..
I'm also sure Yoda has a bugged spawn for grinding which he's not sharing with us... so i think two weeks is about right.. as long as he only stopped for 2 toilet breaks a day

I hope it dosen't end like it dose in the book...because if it dose serious SW fans that are into the lore will be really mad and the Black Fleet Crisis series of Novels will be voided. I'm not going into details because I don't want to spoil for people who haven't read spoilers. The only things I read were really the major points of the movie.
*THIS LINK CONTAINS SPOILERS, IF YOU GO YOU WILL BE READING FROM THE MAJOR SCENES FROM THE MOVIE AS PORTRAYED IN THE NOVEL*

I agree Shensen, but all the other novels have came out before the movies, yes they had alterations but usually it was alterations with more content, some of the alterations were different from the movie in major ways too. So I'm not saying it is 100% truth, as Lucas most likely wants to keep things under wraps, but also he may consider it a read at your own risk of spoiling the movie, and believe that people will only buy it if they are not afraid of knowing the movie before it comes out. (Plus I realize the EU is not official per-say. But you would think since Lucas has to approve the books before they hit the shelves he would stick to the lore people have come to expect, like Boba Fett, not entirely sure on specifics, been a while since I read it, but boba was not a clone, he was a security guard and found a suit of mando in a museum and some people were after him for some reason or another, he hides in the armor but for some reason it activates for him.)

Anakin did bring the Force back into balance, just not the way the Jedi wanted it to be... there were thousands of Jedi, yet not many Dark Jedi/Sith.

yeah. lucas has a habit of contradicting the EULA. I guess SW is what Lucas says, no matter what comes before or after. but it's funny. I'd love to see some production assistant on the set of a SW movie and chime in between takes...."Well, actually, Mr. Lucas, if you've read the Black Fleet Crisis series......"

As far as Anakin goes in Episode 1, there is that deleted scene where he ends up fighting a young Greedo (kid you not lol) when he's accused of cheating to win the race. Qui Gon breaks it up and chastises Anakin for getting into the fight in the first place. Also gotta remember he did get a little snippy and defensive, once when Padme realized he was a slave and also when being questioned about his fear and his mom by the council. The seeds of being the moody little teenage snot were there. lol
I'm just amazed at the whiny nature of any male with the Skywalker name:
Anakin, Episode 2: "It's all Obi-Wan's fault! He's holding me back!"
Luke, Episode 4: "But I was going into Toschi Station to pick up some power converters!"
Luke, Episode 5: "Ben, why didn't you tell me?"
Can't wait to see if Luke and Mara's son Ben (from the books) takes up that particular legacy, and how quickly Mara will squash it if she sees it rofl
