As I stated before... I am not in a guild anymore and have no desire to be in one... I have some friends I could ask but I would rather not bother them... I would much rather do it alone... feels like more of an accomplishment that way...

After I did Phase 3 quest solo I really felt like I had accomplished something....

As a master swords, master CH yes. The key is getting the pets buffed, so they can regen after going down, and getting Mallichea away from the base. Then you just have the pets go on the named npc and kill the support staff. Intimidate, heal pets, intimidate the named npc again, killone crystal then go back, intimidate, heal pets, intimdate and go kill another crystaled. I believe after two crystals go down you can now kill the named npc. Then finish off the crystals and have pets tank mallichea. Use intimidate and warcry on him while stiming the pets. He'll go down before the pets do.

I solo'd Mellichae as a master rifleman.I used only conceal shot and it took about 20 minutes. I can't imagine any other profession soloing him becausehe does LS damage and your armor is worthless against him. When I first got him alone he was moving around a lot so it took awhile to get into position to startmy conceal shots. After he was about a quarter way down in health he just stood absolutely still and I started spamming conceal shot. It was almost as if he accepted his fate.

not sure on this, but i would imagine a swordsman medic/CM could take down mind fairly quickly

I was a master swordsman master CM when I took him on and it is extremely easy to get his mind pool down....but he will fully heal once he gets so low......once you get the crystals though, he doesn't stand a chance. The important thing is that you keep yourself healed and that you have very high mind pool and high will and focus.

I tried him later without medic/CM (found him wondering around by himself) and it was just no way to kill him solo without being able to heal yourself.....the lightsaber damage was the biggest problem for me.

Why solo? Attacking with your friends is much more fun. I'm hoping to make mine a guild event

Most of my friends from the start are gone, and friends that started recently are too low level to survive for long.

"There were young knights among them who had never been present at a stricken field. Some could not look upon it, some could not speak. They held themselves apart from the others who were cutting down prisoners at my lord's orders, for the prisoners were a body too numerous to be guarded by those of us who were left.
Then Jean de Rrye, an aged knight of Burgundy who had been sore wounded in the fight, rode up to the group of young knights and said: "are ye maidens with your downcast eyes? Look well upon it. See all of it. Close your eyes to nothing. For the battle is fought to be won, and this is what happens if you lose."

Well as I said before I am a Master Doc as well, so healing myself is not a big deal... The Problem I have is knowing exactly WHAT to do... should I just run up and try taking out the crystals... or should I "pull" his buddies away and kill them one by one and then go after crystals... What my point of this post is to get the "best" game plan I can get for a melee prof BEFORE I get into the situation....

I must say, I'm feeling a tad daunted about this myself, I've always played solo (since beta2), never been part of a guild, and all of my friends I started with have now quit, so as a Master Swordsman/medic I guess I'm in for some problems with this exit quest.

I guess all I can go is post for some help when I finish my last branch (next week hopfully, work and RL permitting..)

I'm guessing there are no restrictions on who I can bring along on this (i.e. they don't also need to be FS characters?)

The best thing to do is to pull Mallichea out from the group. You will never take the crystals if he is near them. To do that you need some pet for him to kill otherwise he will chase you down and kill you.

Second you need to do something with is buddy, the named NPC one. He isn't all the tough, but he does get healed by the first couple of crystals. You'll need to either pull him out or some how occupy him while you kill all the shadow thugs and crystals.

Maybe the best thing to do is hire a docotor out to go along with you just to do some resing incase you get into trouble.
