well im still deciding on going jedi. i wanna know. how long of a grind will it be till i will be able to defend myself. how long will it take to get knight? and also do i have to wait for the phases to grind fs or can i just start grinding and unlock my boxes whenever i want. ? thanks for answers
It's different for everyone. Depends on if you get vis a lot and die a lot and say "F this" because you are in the hole 1 mil jedi xp or some get bored after a week or 2 and do other things. Basically when you hit padawan you have all your skills. Once you start needing to use skill pts you will then have to start droping skills else where. Some people can hit ls 0/0/4/0 in a few days, some hit it in a week, some a month. Here let me give you some numbers then you can figure out your style.
you basically will take a few hrs to hit novice ls which is your main goal. You need 20k xp for that. What i did wasNOT get in a solo group and do 5k quenker missions. 2 spawn first so i tkm'ed one and then used my training saber for the 2nd. Now make sure NO armor is worn, not even a psg. It will take 10-15 mins to kill the thing. You will want novice brawler and use intimidate and berserk. You will get about 400-450 xp (if i remeber correctly) Then I would use my saber to draw more out. And kill them except 1 and then the last one i use saber. If you are a master medic or at least 0040 then you could probably do 2 at once. I recommend master medic for this because your heal speed is way faster. Anyways the lair i would get from 300-500 also (no clue why it kept changing). So you figure if you kill 2 quenkers and the lair per mission you get 1500 id say xp. It will take about 30mins give or take 5-10 more mins per lair.(you can get in a solo group for more xp but a lot more will spawn etc. so be careful) If you die you lose 4,500 xp before novice.
If you have 0 medic yes. I would take on 2 or 3 at a time but found myself healing a lot. As master medic i used stim d's and e's so it was fine but if you have 0 medic i wouldn't recommend doing more then 1 at a time. Don't forget you have 0 armor and don't wear a psg. If you were armor or even just a psg you will get a lot less hit points take away like if you hit for 100 you will likely hit for 16 or something. Thats why i recommend at least having medic 0040 if not master along with tkm or another master type profession in the beginning. Trust me when you use yourtraining saber you will know what i mean.
