do all these people b!tching about nading realise that is is in NO WAY faster than doing it the "normal" way. yes, you may get the xp faster, but everyone has to wait for the exact same amount of phases to unlock. i am a nade grinder (and proud of it) because it allows me to play the game more, as opposed to grinding with my VK all the time to try and keep up with the phases. if anyone has a problem with this (or me) then meh, like i care

Yes and no. True you can't actually unlock Jedi faster than the phases come, but your assertion that nading isn't faster is dead wrong. The other guy said he was able to grind up 6,125,000 FS xp points in 2 weeks (5 branches worth). The rest of the time between unlock quests he can be making money, exploring the planets, grinding other professions for fun, any number of things. The grenade shortcut EXPLOIT gives a nice shortcut into much more in-game free time.

The fact that nade grinding is more expensive is no defense. Prices are player-set and not under game influence except in terms of scarcity of fundamental resources, and therefore is a player-driven deterrent and as such irrelevant.

Look at all the EXPLOITERS try to hide their shame. Pitiful.

ITS NOT A FASTER SOLUTION YOU IDIOT!

LOOK! it takes the same time for the phases, no matter if you throw grenades, rez over and over, kill baz nitches with a vibro knuckler, or eat boffa treats, its not going to change the phase times!

Fair enough, you agree with me about the time period thing, but please point me in the direction that says people grinding the "normal" way must stay in one spot on the same planet, not travel the galaxy and must not make any money whilst grinding.

I didn't say that they "must." If you took it that way, allow me to clarify.

People grinding to become Jedi can really take it one of two ways. Either they immerse themselves in it, studying hard, fighting hard on what should be an EXTREMELY difficult task, otherwise we get servers overrun with Jedi (like we have now). The decision to become a Jedi should supercede all other opportunities...if someone is committed to it, they accept that their time will be spent grinding, not becoming financiers or collectors of great wealth or renowned explorers. I object to a Jedi grinding method that's so intensely fast as to make the act of becoming a Jedi a pedestrian achievement. Paulo I really really wish I could find that link for you right now that I mentioned in the other thread (where a red-name dev specifically labels nade grinding EXPLOITING).

I'm just annoyed, man. I'm annoyed that Jedi status has been devalued by unscrupulous players willing to shortcut their way to whatever they want, by whatever means necessary. I just sit back and hope that the CURB smacks all these nade grinders on their faces with abrupt fashion.

I know that no matter what, when I finally decide to take on the robe and saber, I will be a Jedi who got there honoestly. No one will ever be able to accuse me of anything short of earning the achievement. Romantic idealism, right? Playing by the rules so as to better enjoy the achievement for its legitimacy...but I wish nade grinders would take a lesson.

Grenades, being thrown weapons, should give Thrown Weapons XP with a 10% bonus as combat xp. Do you disagree? And if so, what is the basis of your assertion in light of 2-handed weapons giving 2-handed Weapons XP and flamethrowers giving Heavy Weapons XP, each with a 10% bonus as combat xp?

Fine with me. They can make another place for imps to get jedi right outside of cornet. Or better yet a sith village where we can learn from darth maul Whatever you want REBEL!

LOL juke'!!

I take no side in the GCW. In fact I care of it not at all, so long as it's profitable.

You see what I'm saying though? It's a terrible inconsistency for there to be a village in hiding from the empire where imperial players go to train skills. It's just not very well thought out is all I'm saying. Imp or Reb, you can't argue something being a bit amiss about this situation!

Good debate all, I'm home to play for the night. Cheers.

maybe grenades should give thrown weapon (or grenade) xp, but that still doesnt make it an exploit. this was simply the way the devs designed it. i know you feel strongly against it, but still...

You go and find that link that states grenade grinding is an exploit....please do that.

I don't care what you see on the surface, because if this was an exploit, it would have been changed long ago. You realize that weapons or grenade grinding gets you to the same place right? As a self-proclaimed Network Engineer, you should know that choosing a solution that saves time, like grenade grinding supposedly does, is a benefit.

So...my final point is this.

There is no real reason to act like you have done some noble act by wasting your own time by not using grenades...I thought a Network Engineer would be smarter than that...but I only provide client-side support for an 80,000 user base, so what do I know?

I feel your pain, but until they stop the lame @ss afk macros we will have to deal with Paemos being r@ped.

The majority of people like afk playing even though they aren't the vocal majority.
