That is the other theory... both would "work" nether are very practical...

Of course GL did not choose lightsabers for practicality "...A more elegant weapon, from a more civilized time..."

The point I was making with my last post is that that's how they would work in the SW universe. Unfortunately, we don't have the technoclogy to apply that in the real world, and that's if those specialized crystals existed here or if people actually had force powers (as that article states that one that is force sensitive will havea much easier time at wielding a lightsaber).

It's a POI. There are scouts and then there are two camps further in. From my experience,I thinkmore crystals drop from those in the camps than those walking around outside, although that can just be random and by chance.
