It's not about how many crystals your saber takes. It's about getting one with good stat modifiers. Think of them like powerups. You'll craft a lot of powerups until you get one that has what you really need. Same deal withtuningpower crystals. Tuning power crystals gives random results. If you have a bunch of power crystals, you want to tune them until you get a decenttune that will increase damage and lower force costs. People who have a lot of crystals will only use a couple that have exceptional results. The rest go into the garbage or become decorations.
