OK. iv narrowed it down to two templates to use. i think i already know the one ill go with but just to see what you all think. im gonna use either doc/tkm or tkm/swordsman. i loke doc cause i dont have to spend time getting buffs. but i like swords/tkm cause i can get double the xp. what should i do?

Well probably the most efficient way is by doing master pistoleer for pistol xp, novice commando (using the launcher pistol - find a krayt one) for heavy weapon xp though you use pistol skills, and then do grenades for the killer combat xp.

Took me about 13 weeks, give or take a week. Because I was chilling for a week or two waiting for my phase 3 gated quest. I didthe entire FS grindwith Master Fencer/Doctor asmy professions of choice.
If, (i write) if, i ever do it again i will use grenades or whatever the FOTM may be. Call me stupid but i wanted to experience the grind the hard way (the way it was intended). You may think that this is cheesy but, i think it prepared me more for the jedi grind better than throwing grenades. Because during the FS grind,i did the whole thing solo (except for the phase 3 cpt sargillo quest).Hardly interacted w/my guild, basically playing the hermit role. So, now going into jedi there really isn't much of a change for me. I don't feel the need to interact with the guild, I don't kill NPC's, going on 3 weeks and still not on theterms.
Prettysoon, (in another month or two) i will put my jedi in hiding while I grind my alt Master sword/doctor. I personally don't think jedi is that hard to play. Play the game the way you want, I found the whole expierence to be rather easy. But it may be the way I play the game.

I was TKM/Doc, dropped TKM to 0/0/0/4, dropped Hunting 1 and Novice Scout, and some Doc all the way down to only the Novice box.
Then I trained 4/0/0/0 Commando, and had a Weaponsmith make me some schems for Imperial Detonators.
I started the FS grind about 1 1/2 weeks ago with 1 box (that's one BOX, not branch) done. I had Ranged Accuracy 1 done.
I now have 3 3/4branches done, and should have all of my boxes done PLUS my xp banked for my last unlock, so once it's done and unlock the last branchI can just train it and get ready for Mellichae. The second I bank all my xp, I'm dropping Commando and trying to get TKM back. I really miss it right now.
I'm expecting to get all my xp by next Tuesday or so. So around 2 weeks and a couple days to grind out all the FS xp using Imp Detonators. Not too shabby. Would've been easier to grind each tree as I unlocked, but nooooo - i had to be lazy....haha.
Mind you, I do about 3 or 4 caps per night in combat xp - which almost 6 hours of grinding. UGH. But it's what I pay for, for not doing it for so long.

I started as a tkm/m.ranger dropped ranger and got master marksman for commando....which can be done in a buff session if u have good starter weapons, combat xp for the ranged branch, and the ap to master. Had enough combat xp remaining to get 3-0-0-0 commando. Eventually got Field tactics 4 just to help things move a little quicker.
Bought some thermals and some grenade pups and managed to do 5 branches and 3 boxes in under a week. Doing 2 buff sessions a day averaging about 900k FS xp, anywhere around 400k-500k FS xp per session depending on how things went. Last few days I pulled 2-1/2 buff sessions. It's not the grind that kills you it's the 3 month wait like others have said. But it is nice knowing I have the XP banked and no nerf on grenades will slow or stop me now....that might be something to consider as the CU approaches. Good Luck.

I don't think it really matters if you are just grinding as you go, whether using two combat professions, or grenades. I am pretty sure that either way you can fit almost all of it in (I know you can with grenades) and be done when you unlock the phases. he choices you have boil down to two: either master to professions and grind for x hours a day, every day, on FS to be done when all six branches are unlocked OR use grenades and work on FS for less time, not every day if you feel like it, and spend $$ on nades, armor, etc.
I have to wonder though, back to back, how long it would take either one after all the trees are already unlocked and you are just grinding FS xp striaght up. Obviously the nades would be faster, but has anyone broken down the numbers yet?
