Nobody stopped you from keeping that template. Nades are faster than anything else, but where did it say you had to get there by the fastest way necessary if that meant gutting your character?

You CHOSE to drop it to go the quickie route, now you get to enjoy the consequences of that action, namely mind-numbing grinding in a template you didn't want.

One of the advantages of the Jedi Revamp is that it allows you to work towards Jedi using your chosen template instead of gutting it over and over to do professions you never would have any intention of playing. By going the quick and easy path, you just threw out that advantage.

The best way to go towards Jedi, or grind Jedi itself, is to just play the game. Not grind, just play. It may take you a bit longer to get there, but you'll enjoy the process a lot more.

cu grinding is impossible for jedi, which makes this forum useless. Here's the solution

Since they have removed "Cancel" button from Accounts..

Here is how-to:

1. Go to "My account" from top of this page.
2. Enter your Station name and password.
3. Click on Billing Info on top of page under Registration title.
4. Click on Subscriptions from left menu
5. Check My subscriptions (You will see Star Wars Galaxies - around middle of page)
6. Click on Star Wars Galaxies.
7. Press Cancel Subscription
8. And don't forget to fill in Exit Survey (http://www.station.sony.com/exit_survey/index.jsp)

Have a nice future, have nice updates.

Oh and do it after May 5th, so they can actually see why.

I find it funnier than hell that they removed the cancel button from accounts, where it should be lol. I have all my xp banked yet I can't bring myself to grind for credit which I sorely need after logging onto test.

Of course I have to deal with half my missions disappearing while I'm attacking it or not even showing up...

While I am largely anti-CU I look at it in the way that they won't give us a system that will be so horrible as to drive players away, we are their cash cow, *snip*

Never stopped them from dropping a crappy product on us before. They will most likely hit their May 5th deadline, throw the system on live, then when half the population cancels their accounts, they will do an emergency patch that brings us back to the old combat system. Why do I say this? They did it with the crafting update a while ago and people weren't even quitting over it. This is a pervasive system, and if they make it so that elite professions can't even 1v1 kill stuff they're used to fighting 5 at a time... expect cancellations. The CU is more of a broad spectrum combat nerf than an upgrade, and the sooner they realize that the playerbase feels that way, the faster they'll throw the idea back into the trash.

hehe well I never said it 'wouldn't' be something that makes you want to smash the nearest thing you don't own just that they might not make it as bad as it may seem. Alot of people are complaining about current inconsistencies and bugs/flaws in the CU (which I call Crappy Upgrade) which they will be removing (hopefully) before it goes live which if they for once wait to release a unbuggy hole punched patch will be in about a year I just meant I don't think they will make things completely unworkable, though I'm fully expecting it to suck, just not as much as it is on TC...at least I hope, been here since launch and just paid 6 more months..it'd be a shame if those were the last 6

I have heard that the expansion ROTW is coded for the CU and thats why they are not dumping it after many complaints. They will push it live and SWG and the players will never be the same.

im about 5 branches away from being even jedi padawan so i dont really stand a chance when the CU comes out becuase even when i could take on 13 squill at once i had trouble so now what am i supposed to do....i think they should make the CU like KOTOR i wouldnt worry about jedi if that was the case....

To add to his post, also read this article, http://www.the-combine.net/ArticleViewer.aspx?ArticleNo=249, make them really feel the loss of your account, get your money back for all the months you had a subscription. Once the CU goes live, it is no longer the game you purchased, the whole system changed. The box says Game Play may Vary, but it didnt say every aspect of the game would become a clone of other SOE products2 years down the line.

Been at this grind thing for awhile. Now I am just banking FS XP and will convert when I feel it is the right time to do so. I think having FS skills will enhance my game play more so then just becoming a jedi. On the other hand I can unlock and grind the other toon as a noob and wait for updates and changes, as they will most assuredly happen. Either way I think the state of the game will change for the better after we get through the hairball phase of CU.

First of all, yes I CHOOSE to go this route as you so eloquently pointed out.... however like everyone else I fear what the CU is going to do to the game. However for the past 6 months I have been playing the game. I've helped guildies...I went out to the DWB and died countless times....so now I feel the urgency in finishing these quests. I gave up a template I rathered enjoyed to expidite the ability to wave a glowy bug zapper.

While your advice of just playing the game to get your xp was valid 6 months ago, I disagree with it now. Further more, I want to move on....I want to progress my character. I have been gated long enough. Now I want to do something different........I want a new challenge....HOWEVER I do not want to take the chance of getting stone walled again because xp takes longer to get because someone in Austin, TX decided he knows what's best for me.

So before you go and flame me, realize 1) I was agreeing with the original poster..2) I made statement that I felt urgency in completeing the FS requirements prior to a global nerf and 3) I also stated that I was sacrifing other areas of the game to do this. You play the game your way, I'll play it my way....and before you respond, I am not interested in your views on the CURB or how you think this game should relate to what good ol' George wrote in the movies or where the game fits into the freaking story line. Those are all moot arguements. I don't care how many Jedi are running around, I don't care if they are suppose to be rare....I picked up the box and said, "Wow....Iwant tobe Jedi." I started the game with that in mind, I want to be Jedi. So now that I am close I have taken a faster yet boring approach, which is NOT an exploit, is NOT a cheat. I am playing within the confines of the game that was constructed and within the rules set in the game.

Damn, now you made me flame you.....I must now go take my kava-kava and meditate. Cebre_Opasloathis isn't totally directed at you, I am at the same time venting frustrations from other posts....
