You get to use your training saber when you go to yavin 4593 -4576 wait alittle search the ground you find a saber and then u can use it

I heard you have to travel to Yavin and visit Luke....and /tickle him till he gives you his saber.....i could be wrong though....

For your info once you get your training saber you still cant wield it because post-CU you need force. I tried this out and now you cant bank xp till you get padawan

a guildmate is having this problem... how do you grind your novice box if you cant use the saber??

u can use the saber once ure a paddy
also like me im still anoob npaddy wit jus novice boxes but i have a 4th gen. the saber u used is based on CL/ CL54 for 4th gen

Am I to assume that to achieve Jedi Padawan status, the saber is not necessary?

I wouldn't use a 4'th gen saber at paddy. I'm still fs grinding but the force cost on a 4'th gen saber is very high even with premium pearls which dont even drop anymore.
