I agree with everything that has been said. I think the time limit should be at least 3 months just so can get a complete feel for the game before you become FS.

I have been playing for about three months, I play the game just to play with no real goal. When i first started I did not know the path to becoming glowy. I just went from POI to POI. After that I Mastered five skills and did a couple of theme parks and ended up glowing. In two months of just playing I became glowy. I have been in the village for three weeks and still have not gotten enough force XP to fill one box.

I learned the game post CU and Pre NGE. Left because of NGE and now I've come back

There should also be some requirement that makes sure you spend at least 20 minutes reading the stickies in this forum. Cross-program requirements.

What? Jedi crave knowledge, do they not?

hehe, Did you see the guy who asked why he couldn't do another quest immediately after finishing ranged speed? hehe.

It's really no wonder people get so angry when you see stuff like that.

Look...i know how you all hate that there are so many Jedi running oround....but you have to see that a lot of new players are starting the game just for that (I believe you have seen the new tutorial). SOE needs those players...if they made becoming jedi "too" hard..they could have quite some financial damage

I disagree. I started playing 525 days ago. It was MUCH harder to become Jedi, many people just didn't even consider becoming a jedi a reasonable option. There were still plenty of people who played only with the hope of becoming Jedi, even though they knew it would be about a year, or ever that they got it.

This is a great game, and Jedi isn't what makes it great. I think it's incredibly stupid that there are hundreds of Jedi running around all the time. I played for 6 months before I ever saw a jedi. When a Jedi showed up at the Mining Outpost (before there were already hundreds of people hanging out there), people all over would drop what they were doing and fly their (using shuttles with 10 minute waits) just to get a glimpse, or to have the opportunity to take a swing at one. On a couple of occassions I saw a 30 v 1 fight, against a player Jedi. Everyone enjoyed it, including the 30 dead players. That's what made me want to bea Jedi in the first place. To play a totally different kind of game, one in which I would be very powerful, but would also potentially face severe consequences, like perma-death. Not so that I could be "1.5x stronger" and play the exact same game.

As irritating as the hoards of Jedi are, what I find particularly sad is people who are playing only with that goal in mind. I know someone, and have met several others, who within a week of starting, were planning their Jedi template. What a waste of a good game.

I'm not complaining about the state of things. I just disagree about the "making it harder", it has been made very much easier, way too easy. Just plain rediculous. (My alt finished grinding FS xp in 3.5 days during double xp, My Jedi was about 2 weeks old, when her unlock was done grinding for her own Jedi).

pretty much the whole point of the game is to become jedi.

I aggree but i think more then six months,

I was at village doing phase 4 melee defense/ranged defense. Their were guys in grp that didnt even understand about targeting and how the kill system works with credit to a kill. GET FRIKKEN REAL. Now they want jedi too. GO AND BUY K O T R !!!!!! Then everyone will be happy!!!!

What I am really hating is that with xp and grouping system lvl 23 players are getting in grps with lvl 80 players and doing lvl 82 mobs and getting master rifleman in 4 days!!! This isnt right. When I started this game I had to grind stupid naboo for a month. I couldnt even afford a ticket to go to another planet much less dantooine. BUT I learned how to play the game that way, the right way. I understood how things worked ect before i took novice CH/BH. Now you have clowns taking part in a more elite system as FS and Jedi. This is getting out of control. I know everyone pays the same amount of money. BUT there is fun in being noob and doing noob planets for a time with noob friends, that is where my best game friends were established. The Devs keep drowning this game to nothing. They make the FS grind tougher b/c to many people are doing it.

But they are not doing anything keep the new players from flocking to it. Now they sit on here whining b/c they have had their account for 2 weeks and the arent jedi yet. Get REAL!!!!

I agree with the timelimit thing. But what will happen to people already in the village? I've been playing for 70 something days and have enough badges to keep me warm. I really enjoyed the POI's (lol the srylacc you need to be able to lick it to get the badge). I have only two major goals in mind: become a jedi, and get a full set of mandolorian armor (don't comment on that). I just joined a new guild on Dant thats a big rebel guild that does pvp and we get huge groups together and do spin groups. I timed myselft and got 200 something thousand in exactly 2 minutes. I cap out rifleman, carbines, and pistoleer each at 1.2 mil although I am only a level 79. I always cap out combat at 300k getting a bonus of 10k fs exp. If I do one group a day like that for 3 weeks I'll have enough fortwo branches. It's all about efficiency. I did't get much combat exp in before the change. All I remember is the day it changed I got in 80k from combat in fs exp. So now with that I can explore the game more and maybe fight the ackly or some other fun things.

Isn't it about 1 thousand people become fs a day? Not a couple?

100% AGREE

No one should be able to do the village after playing 2 days. Someone should have to play 5 to 6 months to a year first. Get on it Devs!
