= 540,000 combat experience

That gives you rougly 7 maxes to fill one full line, and 42 maxes to fill your 7 branches.
Even if you do it slowly and max weapons experience, lets say once every 5 days. It would take you 210 days to fill out your entire FS exp grind. And since it takes a minimum of 180 days to finish it anyways...
The template is level 64 (like it matters in a group) and leaves 27 SP's left over, more than enough for the 24 SP's you need to fill your FS lines.
It should be more than that. I have TKA 0044 and i max unarmed at 1.2 mil, but it might be the 0044 that does that

It's 1.2 million for one line. I have 0/4/0/0 Carbineer and my Carbine exp caps at 1.2 million. That's why I assumed BH worked the same way.

I understand. I guess its not because weapon xp isnt needed for the master box on BH and it is for Rifles, Carbs, Pistols, Unarmed, and the others.
For Master Bounty Hunter its 340k Combat. So thats why Weapons max at 900k for BH

Just a point
If you master Rifles and BH you can cap Rifle xp at 1.2mill, carbines at 900k, pistols at 900k, and still have skill points left over which could get u novice TK for instance. (not sure of the cap at nov tk).
Take that a step futher.
1.2 million rifle, 900k pistol, 900k carbines, 900k Combat, and BH xp (not sure about cap here).
Without BH xp, you are able to get 130k in FS skills (rifle, carb, pistol, combat) and with 30 or 70k in BH exp, you could get 14000 FS, for a total of 144k FS experience.

Yea but whos going to sit around and max out 900k in combat before going to the village. If you maxed your weapons you would have 300k in combat which would just be 10k FS. As for BH xp, you might as well spend your time just doing weapons/combat because of the time it takes for BH missions

Tru, but I always take about 320k to the village with every cap, which is more than other professions, if I am not mistaken.

That sounds about right. You could just convert combat every other trip. That way you convert over 600k, so it would seem like you convert more. But its probably easier to convert every trip that way when you get back to grinding you're on a clean slate.

The forums are meant for players to help other players. But you're right about some negatvities. Like all the ranting and complaining and the rumors. If you block that out, they're actually pretty helpful.

You got rid of the grenade grind.
What they did was extended the grinding game into an even longer grinding game. Imagine paying a monthly fee to grind, and grind, and grind, and grind, ad nauseum, in purpetuity, month after month, year after year, no end in sight.
What could this game be if it actually mixed the ability to gain mastery, and use same mastery in a reasonable time, to do fun things, and acquire fun things?
Sure isn't SWG. Wish it was.

The point of my original post is that this change is destructive to the game's ability to grow because it widens the gulf between powergamer (who has an even greater advantage over the non powergamer now) and the causual player.
Powergamers (which I define as someone who plays for 3+ hrs a day) will still get to padawan more or less "on time". Those who aren't will at some point give up. I fear that many who started on the Jedi path, and have had the rules suddenly changed on them halfway thru are the ones we are most likely to lose.
In reality, this change isn't going to slow down the rate of new Jedi one iota. The powergamers will still get theirs in 18-24 weeks.
For this reason, I think this change is a mistake, and is CONTRARY to the Dev's stated goal of broadening this game's appeal so that we can rise above our 250K sub number.
The problem here is that SWG is grind based, perhaps the MOST grind based of any MMO. It isn't quest or story based at all, quests and stories are SECONDARY content, that has little to no effect on leveling, unlike most other games (EQ1 and EQ2 for example).
The fact that the game is grind based alone means that non powergamers are already at a disadvantage coming in. By increasing the grind by such an extreme degree (they doubled it with this patch) this disadvantage becomes catastrophic. This is why I think this change was definately NOT well reasoned and was not well designed, and is based on the false assumption that more grind will be accepted as more content.
For the record, I am a powergamer. I play 3-5 hours a day, and virtually all the time on weekends. I have 3 accounts and 4 characters. I got FS with publish 11, and became a padawan 2 weeks after the CU. I finished my template last week. I know how boring (not hard) the grind is, and, unlike most Jedi players, I do NOT wish to see those who come after me to have an even MORE boring and long and pointless grind.
