It was pretty hard. I would have never have done it if not for the help of my guild. Takes a lot of preparation and time, especially if doing it solo like somoene mentioned before.

My wife and I did it alone

All you have to do is to pull one or two thugs and kill them.
When you have killed five of them within the base borders, the commander will spawn.

Since my wife deactivated the shields, she pulled all of the Thugs so I could
get a free entry to destroy the gates and turrets.

I agree that it is a challenge, but it's not impossible.

We were Teras Kasi that time

all you need is a really good jedi knight-master whatever and you can take out the mission easily.all you need to do is sit back while the jedi goes in a tanks them all. while he is dragging them, with the damage he deals. he will eventually kill tem. so after the 5 are kille du can go in and get the commander. be sure u ride in tho. heal up if you get damaged at all. thne u can just ride way. stay with in 60-100m of him though. he CANT die. all you need to do is let the sith fall off you and then you can press shift+up arrow key and let him follow. do this and you will be fie. make sure u say thanks to all fo your help.

This worked for me with about 7 combat classes with me.

1 make sure that there are no mobs in the area around the base (We missed some sith's about 100m away and aggro'd them all. died.

2 take out the turrets and front gate with a ranged prof. Do that as soon as you can

3 take down the shields easy

4 move back into your valley and wait for the sith that spawn to come out. draw them out one or two at a time with a ranged weapon

5 when there are 1 or 2 sith left, run in destroy the 2nd gate the commader spawns

6 capture him (radial) and run

7 be careful not to get to far in front of the commander and dont let him get killed. your friends should be following you on bikes and killing ANYTHING that comes your way. I think even my mom aggro'd me.

I noticed, that even with my terrain nav 3, I only outran the commander when I went up hills. Otherwise, he will keepup. I walked 8k to the village. Ungodly but done.

Did you bother to look at their combat level? This is post-CU, things changed

True, things have changed. But the village quests should be solo-able, especially as were doing these quests to get closer to a profession that all but requires us to go solo all the time. Right now the Sith that Ihave seen are conning at levels higher than 80, which, due to damage multipliers, a single person could never take out.

Well from reading this no wonder I am getting slaughtered I am a 9 day old toon with novice rifles-pistoleer and commando lol. Ok I will hopefully respect to master rifles today and try the for mentioned method of getting in waiting on them to despawn (that is a smart plan).

Hehe that'll help, but really the only way to go toe-to-toe with a Thug (pre-CU of course) is to be Master Brawler and have a double elite melee template. As a Pikeman/Swordsman I could take them exactly one at a time. Master rifleman would hit them harder and faster but would still be paper-thin if you're taking hits from them.

Na, I didn't bother to look, it was actually about 5 mintues after i logged in for play post CU for the first time, the sith attacked me and i got the datapad. I was a little excited so i kinda tromped out there quickly without really checking anything out. But, I'm only combat level um....29. So i guess i should be getting owned.

I completed it with a friend just moments before the Gorath server went down for the CU.We were both TKM and I had master Doc, along with us was a commando/ pistoleer from theguild that had all ready done it with another guild member. We got the guy back both got the unlock and the reward and I then exchanged some xp for some FS. I logged out with like 2 minutes before the server shut down. Finally when the CU was done I locked back in and was checking to me sure everything was all right on my toon due to problems I have had in the past with their updates I have learned the hard way and alway check things out and to my suprise I no longer had the unlock but still had the rewards. Anyone have any ideas about what to do now it will take more then I have and most of the guild to complete it I think but capt will not talk to me. I still have the reward crystals but not the unlock.
