i was there, talked to the elder and he talked about crafting but he directs you to different people and I tried talking to all of them and they all say come back later, I'd be curious to see how your friend got him to talk.. lol

He didn't talk to the elder he talked to the captain. What he had told him was different then what the captain said on phase 3. So if you are there now and don't see a change then i dunno what to say. Just going off what he told me the captain told him this time. Said something about a body count and to get ready for an evasion
