What is your current template? How often do you get to play? Are you willing to change your template? This would help with the conversion question.

As far as i've seen, everyone who has luck swears by it, but they have no way of proving it works

I have the Luck line and I feel I do get more credits and maybe it was my imagination but when using the group lottery function I seemed to win more of the loot. Could have just been a fluke tho.

Medical is 30:1 nowadays, which is kinda sad since its harder to get medic xp then it is getting weapons xp. (for me, being a BH/CM at least)

Entertainer healing doesnt exist anymore i'd guess, but i can be wrong.

The fastest way is dependent on your playstyle, template, willing to change and available time / afk possibilities.

In groups, I've seen people get very lucky on the grouploot:random setting, and every single one I asked did have the luck tree done. Since cash and random setting are just that, Random, no hard evidence is available, but if its gonne be part of your jedi template, imho its a worthy tree.

I have luck 2 so far, and I need around 3k fs xp for luck 3.
It does increase the number of credits you loot from npc's, but other than that I have no concrete evidence that it increases your likelyhood of good loot etc..but as mentioned above I have a couple of friends who swear by it so I figured why not, its a really easy unlock.

Also I think medical xp is 30:1 but I'll have to check as I dont really pay attention...I only have CM 1xxx (500k cap).

Template is curently MHB/Master Riffles and a mix mash of other things. I was thinking of getting some doc and going up the luck tree that way. I play quite a bit and realy want to get this line so the commitment isn't an issue. Id be willing to change around anything in my template except for the MBH.

The advice so far is good though, if anyones got anymore know that Ive added this Id appreciate it.

If you are already Master rifleman/MBH you already have the marksman prerequisite for combat medic , all you need is 0400 medic to start combat medic , if you drop everything but MBH/Master rifles you could go up to 4000 combat medic and have 3 points left over

Otherwise youd have to spend an extra 14 points for novice doc which requires 4040 medic

Turning Star Wars Galaxies into a first person shooter is as bad an idea as turning it into a real time strategy game.. thanks for the toilet in the middle of the living room !

My template is MBH/M Rifles with CM 1xxx.
Combat Prowess 3,4,x,4
Heightened Senses xxx3.

So far I've ground up all of my luck tree with scout xp...at a 75k cap, I find it best to just wander round dath outside the village and harvest creatures nearby for a quick trade in...I got CM 1xxx about 2 weeks ago, and its making the luck tree a bit quicker (500k cap) but that trades in at 30:1 as opposed to 8:1 for scout.

IMHO the best template for getting the xp for heightened senses is M Ranger (1.2 mill cap on scout @ 8:1 =150k fs xp per cap), but ranger is a nasty grind because of the trapping xp...I could never get my traps to stick

Another option is to change your template to include Scout. The cap on it is low (70k) but if you hunted out of the village you could probably cap it every few mins and run back to trade it in.

MBH/MRifles/Scout4040/Medic0430 will give you the 70k cap on Scouting experience (8:1 conversion) I *think* (don't trust me, check first, you might be looking at just 50k which is like every 10 fights at high CL heh), and still give you some decent heals, particularly if you can grab a BE Healing Efficiency enhanced shirt to increase your healing efficiency bonus. The nice thing about Scouting experience is that its in addition to your regular experience not in conflict with it (ie if you fight and heal, your exps will be a percentage of combat/weapons and a percentage devoted to medical exps, scout is harvesting based and happens after the fight, so you can get full combat and weapons experience AND full scouting experience just by harvesting every kill). Set up a /harvest macro so you can just click on it after you are done the fight - sometimes takes until after the death animation is completed.

My current template will include at least Ranger0040 so I can cap my Scouting experience at 1m (translates to 125k FS Senses exps per cap). I would love to go fully into Ranger but I am not sure its worth the costs, due to mostly broken skills and the prerequisite of Master Scout. Doing so would let me increase my cap to 1.2m and thus 150k per cap.

the best template IMO is the one that I was using until I changed it up a bit in preparation for the phase 1 quest. I had MRanger (1.2 mil scouting xp cap = 150k HS xp) and BH0444 with a 900k cap on pipstol, carb and rifles. I am able to cap scouting XP in 3-5 hours since the return is a bit slower than normal weapons xp. On the normal cash in I was getting 150k senses xp and around 60k of CP or ER xp since I didnt wait to cap all of my weapons XP. It is possible to do this twice a day if you have the time and a readily availible group.

Well I guess the thing is to go down to the village and try out the scouting. Better to do that first and see how fast I can get it rolling in before deciding to change up the template a bit.

Thanks very much for all your help. Realy appreciate it.

A much more supportive forum group than any other IMHO.

Cheers!
